Use it instead of a tall, cumbersome tri-pod. It gives stability to photograph birds, hawks, dogs, cats and best off all- your children or grandchildren playing. Five stars for sure- Id give it ten stars if we could! Enjoy it!

With about the third use, the bottom section did not extend. In trying to get it to open up, the whole bottom piece broke. It is now useless. I am so sad because all the features were just what I was looking for.

Very light monopod. The locking clamps hold tight, and it compacts nicely. It does not feel quite as sturdy as the more expensive pro versions, but that's to be expected, and I didn't really notice any significant give, even when I had the full-frame with the 600 mm lens attached. Got good steady pix with it and with the quick detach, could use it to steady myself on the trail. I'm happy with it.

Using this to hold a simple night-vision monocular that I use to watch out for our critter friends around my property. Doubles as a walking stick! It's very lightweight, and holds the lightweight monocular quite well. Padded grip is definitely nice too. I wouldn't put a heavy DSLR on top of this but for lighter weight objects it works great.
