This leather collar looks really nice and tough. The quality is really good and the leather is thick and consistent. Jake really likes the new look and so do I! It reminds me of the leather studded collars punk bands wore in the 70s and 80s, very cool!

Spiked dog collars have been part of my fashion since I was a teenager, and yes I know they make collars for people and I don't have to use the ones made for dogs, but I don't like the leash loop being in the front. I really liked the gold and teal combination and knew that I needed it for my collection, aesthetically I have no complaints at all, it looks awesome and I am certain would make your dog look quite fierce. I have no complaints about the comfort level, the inside is definitely nice supple material and the studs are sunk deep enough that there are no places to pinch skin or catch any hairs, it has a good solid weight to it, this is not a flimsy collar that is going to get easily ripped if your dog tries to bolt after a squirrel or something like that. I am not entirely sure it is entirely leather, the outer blue layer feels like a really thin layer of vinyl over a thicker layer of leather, it could also be a layer of thick vinyl paint since it is peeling a very small amount at the edges. The inside layer also has a coating of vinyl paint that is peeling around the latch hole and already starting to shed little black bits, but the core of the collar does appear to be actual leather, just not the exterior layers. I also don't expect the gold coating on the studs and spikes to last long, I can run a fingernail across them and the coating is easily scratched off.
