My child needs his iPad to communicate and this case was supposed to be a good one and waterproof. The iPad is destroyed. Not happy .

I ordered this protective case for my old iPad. I like to use it as a reader, especially in the bathtub, so I wanted to get something waterproof to protect it. The case was easy to apply and works exactly as described.

I decided to keep this case and, boy, am I glad I did. It took a little breaking in for buttons to work and it has performed quite well. I am especially happy with the waterproof feature. Last year, I dropped it into the tub while bathing, along with my husband's iPad and keyboard (that's a story for another day!). Both of his devices died but mine stayed dry in this case and never missed a beat! I am a big fan and now ordering one for my new iPad mini 6th generation. Initial review - I am so disappointed. This case has so many features I wanted that seem to work so well. Unfortunately, the buttons to work on/off, as well as those that control volume, dont work with this, the second Ive tried. Will be returning.

Strap is nice extra feature but could be a tad bit longer and only attaches at top right and bottom left corner. Love the clear back and sturdiness of the case, although port coverings/buttons are sometimes tough to open/use but understandably for waterproofing.

My self-care luxury is a dragonfire-level hot bubble bath. I take my iPad Mini in with me and relax. This case is not only water-tight (as long as you make sure all orifices are closed properly and the side seals have zero gaps, which is why the water test is imperative before you use it - it teaches you how to use it properly), there are no issues with the touchscreen whatsoever. The first one lasted three years until the headphone-jack plug broke off with repetitive use. While I could have done another water test with it in place, I didn't want to risk my iPad Mini if the alignment was off just enough to allow leakage. Replacing this is much cheaper than replacing my Mini. Highly recommend.
