Akko V3 Piano Pro Keyboard Switch for Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, 5-Pin 45gf Linear Switches (45pcs)...

I personally like tactile switches so I knew from the beginning that I needed these. They sound decent out of the plastic but really shine when lubed. Theyre nice and creamy without being mushy and too deep. I have them inside my custom red dragon k552 because they use outrun sockets. The tactlessness is great for gaming, but there is one downfall The pins keep breaking. When setting up my keyboard I broke 3 switches because the pins kept breaking. It is a little annoying but the sound makes up for it. A great buy on the budget.

Akko is killing it this year with their switches. While I would like to still be able to purchase the original Piano Pro switches as they sound a little deeper I picked this up to try and they sound and feel amazing. I think I have purchased about 6 different kinds of Akko switches this year and thus far I pretty much love them all. This one definitely has a nice pop to it but is still pretty deeps. The lightness of the feel means it's perfect for gaming and is in my primary board. This will definitely bring a muted board to life and make one with little damping truly pop! Super smooth, no need to hand lube at all and little to no stem wobble. Although the housing isn't clear there is excellent light pass through if you are an RGB fan. The last thing to note about this one and actually all of the Akko switches is the packaging. It's amazing, out of the hundreds of switches I have purchased not a single one had a bent pin. I attribute this to their packaging and the care they take to put it together. These are a few cents more per switch than their cheapest options but definitely worth the extra cost.

These are by far the best switches made by Akko. I've used Akko's Wine Reds, Jelly Blacks and Cream Yellows and these by far have the most satisfying feeling for typing, their sound profile like light raindrops on your window. As a fan of the lighter linear switches, I'm quite happy with how incredible they feel to type compared to the Jelly Blacks, they're not too heavy to actuate like the Jellly Blacks and not too light like the Wine Reds. They're just right. Unlike the other newer switch offerings by Akko, RGB also doesn't get tinted in any color which is also another added bonus if you're an RGB fiend. They're also super cheap and really easy to lube, making these an incredible switch option for beginning keyboard enthusiasts. 100% recommend these switches!

I was impressed with these switches right from the initial unboxing. Not that I've bought a wide variety of switches, but these were by far the best packaged -- and also the cheapest. When it comes to feel, these switches are really great in their stock form. To compare, I've got two Gateron linears (Ink Yellow, and Ink Black Silent), Kailh Box Reds, and Giant V3s (JWK recolors). These were smoother than just about all of them in stock form. But impressively, they were also the ones with the least spring ping in stock form. (The JWKs were maybe the next closest.) I have these switches installed on a KBDFans D65 (gasket mount aluminum board) with an FR4 plate, and cubic profile Tai-hao keycaps. In completely stock form (both keyboard and switches), these switches are very high pitched, and I find them to have quite a snap on the bottom and topping out. Clacky, not thocky. I do think the sound and feel benefit from lube -- though more the sound than the feel, since they were already so smooth. With a very light application of 205g0 to the bottom housing and stem, and oil on the springs, the sound gets slightly deeper and softer (and the spring ping disappears). But I don't think these changes are as substantial as they were on other switches of mine (especially the scratchier switches). I did try filming these with TX keyboards films; but the housing is way too tight and I wasn't able to close the switches. Suffice it to say, you don't need to film them. Something to note is that RGB (if your board has it) *will* shine through; but, it will be slightly darker and tinted green. I tried to photograph examples of this from my own board. This didn't matter to me, but if RGB is important to you then maybe this isn't the best switch to use -- though I still think it shines through great and I can still easily tell the colors apart. Another minor thing to note: these use the Kailh box switch-style clips on the housing -- HOWEVER, they are slightly narrower than my actual Kailh Box Reds. I had pry one side at a time with my opener. Still relatively easy to do, so I didn't consider this a negative. Finally, a fun little bonus: the rather incredible packaging that these switches come in can serve as a decent lube station for the housing. I lubed about thirty of the switches this way. Definitely pleased with these switches, and happy to buy Akko switches going forward. They are really a fantastic deal.
