I use small notebooks at work- and sometimes I am out in the rain needing to write things down. These are a nice little addition to my work bag. I will be honest- I was skeptical of just how "water resistant" the paper really is- so I wrote a small note in pen and then dumped water on it from a bottle. To my surprise, the paper held up. The pen did smear- but I don't think that has to do with the paper as much as the pen- if working in those conditions are important to you, you need to get a writing utensil that also is waterproof. The covers are a thicker plastic and are definitely waterproof as well. I like the the notebooks come in different colors and are reasonably priced for 6 of them. They are small enough to fit in a pocket or purse easily. The paper does feel a little weird- which is probably due to the properties that make it water resistant. It is easy and smooth to write on. Happy to recommend!

I carry around journals all the time and they often will get somehow wet and pages will occasionally rip. I have been carrying around these mini notebooks to jot down ideas and have found them to be very efficient. It does take some time for some pens' ink to dry, but overall it works well and so far I have been able to keep my ideas dry (but not boring).

These all-weather notebooks hold up! I tested o e as a grocery list, just figuring Id see how tough the paper was. Writing on it was very satisfying. Very soft and easy to write on with an ordinary ball point pen. After my shopping, I saw it was pouring rain. While running to my car, I got the all-weather paper out of my pocket. It did not smudge one bit - even in a downpour. The paper also held up - no rips or weak spots. For fun afterward I held my list under the tap. It was fine! A quick note, though. I wrote with ink *before* it rained. If I were stuck in wet weather and needed to write directions, etc, Id use a pencil. Ink doesnt work well on already-wet pages. Just an fyi. This all-weather notebook fits in a shirt pocket, back pants/shorts pocket - almost anywhere. Its great for emergencies or camping trips, keep it with your disaster kit, in your car, with camping gear, or use it for everyday stuff that you might need to jot down but not lose. Maybe you have a business where mud, dirt, condensation or water in general are everywhere? This notebook will certainly help! I love my six pack - a great deal on awesome notebooks!

I like to carry around moleskine type notebooks for general notes, and these types for field journals. Waterproof helps with both drizzle, but also sweat if you carry then in your pocket. The flip top makes it ideal for hikes as you don't have to hold open the notebook. It fits perfectly in your pocket and there's enough space for what I was looking for.
