This container is very useful for protecting and carrying small items. I tested it's water-proofing by keeping it dunked in a bowl of water for a while and it stayed dry on the inside. It is very durable although I didn't want to damage it by testing that aspect, but I bet you could run this thing over with a truck. It's easy to screw and unscrew and comes with a really nice strap an top quality lockable carabiner. This will also be handy for keeping on a lanyard at the beach when I don't have pockets.

The unit came nicely packaged with custom foam inserts. I thought this gave it a nice touch if it were being given as a gift. I ordered this to use as portable storage for my flash drives. In my work, I use flash drives quite a bit for transporting data and I get concerned about the safety of the drive during this process. This metal container perfectly accommodates those needs. Not only is it made entirely from high grade aluminum, but with the incorporated O-ring and find threads on the cap, its also completely waterproof. The body of the container has an excellent texture to it to ensure a positive gripping surface. In addition, there are six grooves distributed around the circumference to also hold onto. The cap has an incorporated loop which is large enough to fit the included carabiner which is also high-quality. This carabiner is the type that has a threaded nut, which extends over the latch to keep it from opening when you dont want it to. They could have easily just included a regular old carabiner or but I always appreciate when the manufacturer puts just a little extra effort into their product to make it more useful. Also included, is a decent quality lanyard, which allows for a more compact alternative to the carabiner for carrying. This container can accommodate at least two regular sized flash drives (more if you have the ultra slim type) and several SD cards. I really appreciate the ability to transport my data without having to worry about the drives getting damaged by debris or moisture. Plus, I no longer need to deal with cleaning pocket lint out of the plugs. I will get a lot of use out of this container.

I'm using this storage case from SAMYERLEN to store an important flash drive along with a YubiKey; they both fit at the same time with room to spare. Unlike similar containers with screw-on tops, the SAMYERLEN storage case is machined very well, and the threads on the top and bottom pieces engage securely in a way that inspires confidence. The included O-ring adds a bit of friction that -- in addition to preventing dust/water ingress -- should also prevent the two pieces from working themselves loose over time. Despite being made of aluminium (vs a "stronger" metal such as stainless steel), the SAMYERLEN storage case has a nice heft to it that gives it a premium, heavy-duty feel -- the walls of the case are much thicker that I think they need to be to protect a Ledger Nano or a flash drive, but that's not a bad thing. No matter what you intend to store, this is a $20 purchase you can feel good about.

I have 3 Ledger Nano Cold storage Crypto Wallets two S and 1 X. I wanted a better storage case for them than the box they came in. So I ordered 3 of these in the different available colors. Silver (which is not really silver but more of a grey), Black, and Orange. These are really solid containers, you can feel the quality & ruggedness. They are advertised as waterproof and have rubber washers that form a tight seal when the cap is fully tightened. Being made out of Aluminum they should also shield against a EMP also. They are very rugged and have internal padding on the top & bottom should protect against any droppage. The case is very solid so a dog chewing on your Ledger won't be a problem. They come with a tether or carabiner for the case. They look great and I think are worth the cost. You can see the pictures I have uploaded showing the device in it's box and with the Nano X & S and the different attachments. You could also store several of really small USB Drives or USB Dongles in of the these.

We had "film contianers" back in the day. Rolls of 35 mm film was kept in these little metal screw top containers. People ended up with a lot of those film containers and they were handy for everything. Now, we have to go out of our way for screw top metal containers. Maybe that a good thing because these aluminum containers are excellent. They're thick walled and rugged and have gaskets that seal them and ... yeah. I ordered two of these, one in each color, and they are great. They'll last a long time. Like when there are smart octupus ruling the earth. They'll find these and use them for something. Who knows what. Dunno. I'm not an octopus.
