Perfect size for travel! The brush makes it easier to use. As a woman of a certain age I guess its time to start taking care of what Ive been given! I have pretty good skin overall, especially for an old lady of 54, but since I rarely wear makeup and avoid the sun like a good little vampire I think Ive just been blessed with good genes! At this point I would say my skin is normal but those years of having an oily T-zone has left the pores on my nose a little larger than Id like so, when this became available, I figured it was worth a try. I started with the little spatula I normally use to apply masks but it was just sliding the clay around so I decided to try the little brush that was included - wow, what a game changer! I was going to save it for applying makeup but it is PERFECT for applying this clay masks. Most masks involve a certain amount of cooling and tightening and this one is pretty typical. My husband always calls me Mrs. Doubtfire - thanks, honey! - but when the timer went off I was able to remove it easily with some warm water and a cleansing cloth; my skin feels tighter and softer than before the treatment but the pores are about the same. As for the serum I normally prefer a pump dispenser to the ubiquitous dropper but this one seems to work pretty well. The product itself is clear and thin-medium with, literally, NO SCENT! Major happy dance just for that alone! Its hard to speak to the effectiveness because skincare takes time in general and, if you're already using the active ingredient(s), its hard to notice a difference in the way you look/feel. At the same time, if its new to you/your system, it usually takes a while for any real benefits to show up. If my opinions change in either direction Ill update my review accordingly but, for now, Im giving it a solid 4 stars (bump to 5 if those pores get smaller!). I've recently picked up a handful of ANAI RUI products, and I have not been disappointed in any of them. This pore clay mask and serum set are another shining star in their product line-up. The mask is an unscented, heavy, white clay that you leave on for 15-20 minutes. It comes with a handy application brush to keep your fingers clean. The mask is easy to rinse off, and the skin feels smooth and tightened after. The serum, which is unscented and clear, is to be applied after the mask. My skin feels fantastic after using both products!

I have used many clay masks in the past and I didn't find this any more special than those. Most clay masks advertise a minimizing of pores because they pull out oils or rather soak up oils. Clay can be drying, so unless you have really oily skin, this is not a daily use mask. You may even want to consider using it only on areas that get oily...t-zone. There serum is nice as well, but once again, a nice moisturizing serum with hyaluronic acid or squalane should help or if you feel your pores are still too large and you are prone to breakouts, you could try a salicylic acid serum. The point being, this doesn't impress me so much that I need to go out and buy separate from products I likely already have that would work simmilarly, especially at this price point.

I like the clay mask and serum included in this set for an affordable price, $21.99 at the time of this review. The included brush makes applying the clay mask a breeze and keeps my fingers (and hopefully any contamination) out of the mask itself. If you're not used to it the clay mask can feel a little odd as it dries on your face, giving the impression of tightening and extreme dryness, but that's how most clay masks feel. I like how smooth my face feels once I wash it off, and the serum hasn't irritated my sensitive skin so far. Unfortunately I haven't experienced any of the pore shrinking as promised, so I'll rate this 3.5 stars for the value and quality.

I love that this comes with a brush to apply the mask to your face. This little kit is small but mighty! I do not have sensitive skin BUT I do have a T-zone. When I put the mask on all over my face, my cheeks (the driest part of my face) started to get a little itchy. So I had to wash it off my cheeks after about 5 minutes. The rest of my face I left the mask on and then washed it off. My cheeks were a little red and drier than normal but putting extra serum and cream on my face fixed that. The oilier part of my face did feel good and the pore shrinking serum seemed to help with my pores as I have large pores on my nose. Overall, for me, I would use this sparingly on my T-zone only as the mask was too strong and too drying for the drier parts of my face. With that said, please remember that everyone's skin chemistry is different and what works for me might not work for you AND what you LOVE, I might HATE and vice versa.
