I was excited to try the PENDRELL AQUAREVIVE Retinol Serum because I'm in the market for a new retinol. Previously I used the StriVectin Advanced moisturizer with retinol and loved the results, but hated that the day after applying I would have micro pimples all over my face. I want to use retinol but need a gentler version. I opted for the Pendrell Aquarevive as a stand-alone retinol serum that I can apply in the evening as part of my skincare routine. I like that it's not built into another product so that I can easily skip a day if I feel like my skin needs a break. My skin is pretty instantaneous when it comes to breakouts from retinol, and I'm pleased to say this Pendrell serum didn't break me out! No micro pimples all over my face! Additionally, I like that the serum is unscented and a medium level of viscosity. It's thick enough that it's not running all over the place in my hands, but thin enough that it applies easily. It does not go on feeling greasy or heavy - it felt weightless.

This serum from Pendrell may as well be blue magic in a bottle. It's a very gentle retinol-based serum that features a bunch of other great ingredients such as Vitamin E, B5, hyaluronic acid, and rose and goji berry! I think this is best for a nighttime serum but if you have to wear this during the day, please make sure to wear sunscreen with it unless you want ultra-crispy red skin. Avoid using products with vitamin C, AHA, and BHA with this serum unless you want to have severe chemical burns. Retinoids do not work well with those particular actives so it's not advised. :) This formula is vegan and fragrance-free so it's great for a large variety of people to use though I do recommend doing a patch test for the ultra-sensitive skinned. I've been using this for two weeks and my skin texture and little bumps have improved a lot. I think this is a great affordable retinoid for sensitive skin!

I don't have any experience with Retinol prior to this product, but I am given to understand that it has a tendency to dry out your skin, which is why you need to follow it up with a moisturizer. I've used Pendrell's AQUAREVIVE for two nights now, and I can say that you definitely notice a difference in terms of smoothness, almost right away, but there are spots where my skin has started to dry out. I think the best way to approach this product is to not dive right in to using it every night, like the bottle and packaging says, but rather to slowly work up to it, maybe using it once a week, and then every three days, then every other, until your skin is used to it enough to use it every night. As a product itself though, it's easy to use, and does what you want it to and smooths out your skin. The bottle is elegant and fancy looking, and the blue liquid looks good on your counter, so it gets fully marks for that. Just take it slow and don't jump straight in. Definitely do a skin test first too, which they recommend themselves, before committing to a full face mask. And definitely apply moisturizer!

I like this 'Pendrell' AQUAREVIVE Retinol Serum; it feels really nice on my face and neck, and I've seen positive effects already on my skin. I like how this is gentle and effective, and doesn't cause me any irritation or problems, and it's okay for all skin types. This feels and looks like my skin has been rejuvenated, and I can tell a difference in the way my skin looks since I've been using it over the past week. It does make my skin feel and look more taught, which makes my skin appear more youthful. I've tried 'Pendrell' products before, and I've liked them a lot. I love the gentle overall feeling of this product, and like that it is cruelty-free. This works well, and includes products I know to be effective on my skin (such as Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E, Vitamin B5, peptides), and also includes copper peptides. I'm very pleased with this product, and will continue using it. I recommend this, especially for ppl who maybe wanting to use a retinol serum; but who needs something gentle as well. This works well, and also I can use my other skincare products along with it (if I so choose). Great item!

This Pendrell Aquarevive works better as a set because the Pendrell Aquaglow is the AM serum, whereas the Aquarevive is the PM serum. Similar to the Aquaglow, the Aquarevive serum looks thicker than it actually is and you really only need about 3 drops of serum to cover your entire face. For the serum to be fully absobed into my skin without any feeling of tackiness, it took about 10 minutes, and the effects I saw was hydrated and soft skin after just 2 use. Not sure why kind of magic they used but the serum itself was unscented after it's applied to my skin but smelling the serum from the applicator, there's a very light and pleasant scent. The serum didn't cause any irritations or breakouts on my sensitive skin, and even though it's a retinol, it's light enough that I can use it every night. Overall, for the price point and the effects so far, I'd say it's worth a try, but would suggest using this as part of the set to experience the full effects on your skin.
