Very Sweet

Very sweet and very flavorful. So far so good here :). Ive ground it up for chicken carcass soup so far and will keep finding more uses Im sure for whole, cut, ground etc leaves. Thank you :)

Maramilla :-)

When we are in the USA, Hubby and I miss the true Middle Eastern sage tea - in Arabic, "Maramilla". Mediterranean/Greek sage (salvia triloba) is very different in flavor (more of a camphor taste) and aroma to Western Sage (salvia officinalis), and not always easy to find in the U.S. These Arselia Greek Sage leaves are from Turkey, and very fragrant. The price for these leaves is a bit high, but they will last a long time. Due to their especially pungent oils, only a small hand full is needed to make a good, strong pot of tea. We frequently reuse the leaves 2 or 3 times- they are that fragrant. Greek Sage tea ("maramilla") is a traditional Middle Eastern treatment for Winter colds and flu. Just add a little honey to taste for a soothing and flavorful tea. Maramilla tea is best when gently steeped in hot water , without boiling ( which destroys some of the natural compounds, and creates a bitter taste). Great product, and very happy to find this Sage on ZeeBooth!

Well worth the cost if you don't grow your own

For many years I grew all my own herbs but now live in a place where that is not possible. I refuse to buy that nasty, bitter "rubbed sage" at the grocery stores and was delighted to find this brand of real, whole, sage leaves. Wild or "tame", it is a blessing to have whole sage leaves which were properly dried and retain all of the plant's true flavor and aroma.
