Biggest waste of money ever, has no adhesive ability. Will not hold more than just a short time and does not hold secure. Do not buy.

Right amount of adhesion so it doesn't tear paper upon removal

Essential for masking watercolor paper. Works well. You need something that will hold for the duration of the project but also come off without tearing the paper. It will tear cheap papers when you try to remove it but that's not the tape's fault, it's a problem with the paper. When I use this on Fabriano or Arches Cold Press there's no problem with tearing. Sometimes if a lot of water is applied to the paper you need two rows of tape (or a wider tape) to hold it on a board or table, but adding extra is easy. I find I can re-use it once and still get good adhesion. If I re-use one more time, it needs an extra row of fresh tape to hold it. Happy with the product. Have done a dozen medium-small (about 12 x 16") paintings so far without any problems.

Good for watercolor paper.

Good value and removes well from the paper, but does not hold onto board behind it well.

The media could not be loaded. I should have bought 1 inch instead of the 3/4 inch. It is very thin, easy to work with but not wide enough to both cover the paper 1/2 inch margin I wanted and hold onto the board or surface behind it. I adapted by using double-- overlapping the amount to secure paper to background board better. However, after painting a not overly wet watercolor, I found the tape peeling off the wooden board at the bottom and allowing the paper to buckle beneath it instead. It doesn't seem quite strong enough to hold the paper down onto another surface to secure it while drying. I did wait longer than expected for the delivery, it was a good price, but not good enough to do what I wanted it to. I even got a paper cut on my inside finger from the rough edges of the inside cardboard roll! Live and learn!
