We really like the size of the large bowl, works perfectly for our dog who is about 70lbs. The rubber material around the sides keeps the floor from getting wet when our pup splashes some. It also does not take up a lot of room and easy to clean bowls. Plus the rubber keeps it from sliding all over the floor. I highly recommend this!

I bought this for my new pup. He is new Finland lab and Shepherd mix and tended to pick up the food bowl and water bowl and now he cannot do that with this design. I appreciate that it catches the water drooling from his mouth when hes not drinking, and it also keeps him from being able to pick up the bowl to spill the water, I dealt with until I got this if anyones having any of those issues I recommend this for sure its silicone really cool easy to clean And a good buy

Good price and very similar to a prior purchase. Easily cleaned flexible silicon material. Bowls are a good size for water or slow feeder insert.

Edit: these bowls are over 2 years old and they still look and work like they did when we first got them. Zero complaints. Very happy with this purchase. We added a water bucket (different brand/supplier) to one side and now rotate the bowls for food only. The water bucket holds more water and the mat keeps it stable on the floor. We can also hook it inside his kennel when we travel. Original: We hesitantly bought this because some reviews were iffy, but weve had it now for a few months and our Weimaraner puppy has grown from ~ 10 lbs to ~ 45 lbs (5 months old) and these bowls are terrific. We wash the metal bowls nightly (dishwasher or by hand) after dinner and the mat when it looks dirty (maybe once a week - but I can see that being more frequent with a long haired dog since everything sticks to silicone and black silicone shows everything). We took these on a multi-stop road trip in an RV for 2 weeks and they did get a couple of dents that we hadnt experienced in the house (I think a heavy flashlight fell onto them at least one time). The bowls arent made of the thickest metal (not like the little metal mixing bowls we use in the kitchen), but theyre perfectly fine for this purpose UNLESS a dog decided to take a bite out of it (it would almost surely show teeth marks of a strong dog). They still work very well and the dents are only minor cosmetic imperfections if even that. Our pup doesnt pull the bowls out of the tray (honestly, its a little hard for me to get them out). The size is perfect for our medium dog with a large appetite (hes fed 3 times daily still, but twice daily meal portions would easily fit with room to spare). The bowls and tray stay put where we want them (usually against a wall). The water/mess is partially contained, but who expects a perfectly clean floor when they have a weim? Were very happy with this purchase. (We purchased the larger of the two sizes.)
