I was able to upgrade from an older card in a laptop pretty easily. The antenna connectors were compatible and the drivers were already in Windows so it just worked. I needed to get an old laptop on a network that has WPA3 turned on, which older Wi-Fi cards can't do. This modernized the old laptop to connect to the newer Wi-Fi network.

Of course you need to verify compatibility with your device, but this little card had me go from 150mbps, to 980mbps! Finally able to take advantage of my WiFi6 speeds, so I'd definitely say this was worth the $20!

Overall seemed like a solid card, until it comes time for you to install the driver that this car will literally not run without. The physical install was fine and easy but I had gone through and attempted to install the driver from the web address they included in the box. I was greeted by a non optional pay wall that barely states how much its for and is burried even further stating its a monthly service. Its a cheap card for a reason it will NOT work without the driver application and I was forced to return it.

if you can install it it works fine. on screw install, the hardest part is clipping the antenna on don't forget to download the drivers

Ease of install depends on your device, but it's literally just slide in, screw down, install antennas. It doesn't get any simpler than that. What you're installing this in will really determine the simplicity of install. My laptop requires being taken half apart, but my roommate's is one screw and a panel removed. The wifi signal is also dependent on your setup. Low quality or knock off antennas won't get a good signal, same with a low power router. Right now, there are two main companies putting out AX wifi cards, being Intel and Killer which basically reflashes Intel chips. Both are good, bit going straight Intel like this card will usually be the better choice as Killer's software and firmware can be very finicky.
