We have 2 schools of thought on this neck pillow. My wife loves it and feel it REALLY helps her with her ongoing neck issues. She likes the stretch it gives and provides "good pain" in the form of relief. I find it too uncomfortable to use, though it is clearly warned it will likely hurt before it feels good. The instructions are clear and the design is well thought out. Since it makes my wife happy, I'll give it a higher average than maybe I would myself. NOTE: My reviews were rejected previously so keeping this short.

I thought this items would be great, I saw many very positive review and it really seems like something that would help stretch your neck. I tried it in both settings (convex and concave) and did not feel a stretch nor any relief of tension or pain. I tried to use the product for different length of time to see if maybe I didn't use it long enough but I went from 10 to 30 minutes and felt no difference. I was also disappointed by the claim that it is memory foam, it does not feel like memory foam instead it feels like one piece of rubber. While I did not feel any benefit to using this product, others have so I tried to be fair in my rating. I gave this product two stars because it did motivate me to try to do neck stretches, with and without the product. I still use it just as a habit reinforcer, it is good for keeping the neck stable while doing exercises. However, I don't think I would personally recommend this product to friends and family due to my experience with it.

I've been using this item for about a week now. It really has helped me with midday headaches. I'm not one for taking pain relievers because of stomach sensitivities to medications. This device is providing an option and it truly has helped me.

This BACK - Neck Stretcher, Cervical Traction Device for Pain Relief and Relaxer really helped with my back pain, although maybe not in the way it was intended. I'm visiting my 94-year-old Dad. Every time I get here I have to scrub and clean his birdbath because he can't do it anymore and it gets pretty filthy. It's usually no problem for me, but this time I picked up the solid concrete top part and must have turned the wrong way and messed up my back. I've had lower back pain before for many years and the only way I ever got over it was by buying a rolled-up memory foam mattress in a box at Walmart about 20 years ago that I still sleep on nightly when at home. It truly healed my back. This time the pain was brutal, extending into both hamstrings. So when this "neck stretcher" arrived today I took it out and laid down on his floor and followed the instructions, setting it up for "Convex - Gentle Traction". I bent my knees and brought my hands up to my head. I stayed this way for 5 minutes. What I find truly remarkable is over that 5-minute period the pain from my new back injury started to go away. Perhaps just laying on the floor on my back without the neck stretcher would've also helped my back. I don't know. But I do know about an hour later I got back down on the floor and repeated the exercise for another 5 minutes. And I will do it again before I go to bed. As for my neck, it does feel good. I usually have a lot of tension in my neck muscles, but I haven't felt that as much since I used this neck stretcher. I'll stop short of calling it a miracle product based on only two 5-minute episodes. But for the past 2 days, I could not get comfortable either sitting, walking, or lying down. My iPhone app says I only slept 25min39sec Saturday night and I believe it because I was miserable. Now my lower back is feeling more normal again without constant pain shooting from my waist into my legs. So this "Back Pain" product gets a solid 5 stars from me. I'm not a doctor so I can't explain exactly what happened this evening when I got on the floor with this device. But I can tell you I had intense back pain before I laid on the floor with this item under my neck and 5 minutes later it was all but gone. And that is pretty darn close to miraculous in my book! If you suffer from back/neck pain, you owe it to yourself to at least try this device. It's compact, easy to use, and affordable. Thank you for a GREAT product!

The foam is very firm. Installation/setup: Lay down with the pillow in your hands, place the pillow behind your neck. Raise your legs bent at the knees and place your hands up on each side of your head. One side is curved differently than the other, choose and place as needed. Relax and let your shoulders be loose for 5 to 10 minutes a day for the first week, increase as needed. Final thoughts: This treatment was very relaxing and my neck and shoulders felt better after just a few times. The sides are different and I haven't tried the second side yet, Im taking it easy and slow. I have issues with my neck and lower back so I have to be careful. This is not a sleeping pillow, it is meant to realign your spine by gently pulling upwards on your head. 1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.
