I am a hardcore Givenchy fragrance girl. I usually wear Amarige everyday and it has been my absolute go to scent that compliments me perfectly for more than 15 years. I fell in love with the Givenchy scent and it is often the only bottle on the bathroom counter. But it is a heavier, more adult type of fragrance. The mature womans grown up choice, if you will I was gifted a bottle BCBGMAXAZRIA perfume from my son a couple of years ago and I honestly didnt think I would wear it. It seemed too youthful and light for my personal taste. But I do like to take a break from my Amarige every now and again to get back the way that the scent just seems to effortlessly pop out and make people think about me without even seeing me.. The best compliment I received was from my partner when he mentioned that he knew I had been home before he walked in, because he could smell me when he opened the door. That being said, the BCBGMAXAXRIA is a very different experience when I wear it. It is very understated and doesnt give off a strong smell to others but it is very pleasant and if others are closer to you, it will be distinct enough to get noticed. Its very light, not heavy or overpowering at all. Floral and soft it has a sweet light scent perfect for casual occasions and midday wear. I will switch out the bottles every few weeks to get a better idea of how different perfumes work for me as well as the Amarige. The notion that if you cant smell it on yourself but others catch a whiff when you are around is positively true for me in regards to the Givenchy brand. This fragrance is a great trade off when I am looking for something that is lighter and not as noticeable as the more expensive brand. Honestly it is one of the only perfumes that I will use for myself. I will share that after a few hours I am not able to smell it on myself anymore. While the smell is very light I have been noticing that it does not seem to have a long lasting effect on my skin. I can smell it for the first hour or two after applying, and then I dont notice it unless I am trying to.. lifting my wrist or adjusting my clothes. Other people have said that they can smell it when I walk past, or if Im already in a certain area, and of course, if I am leaning over to greet someone. I receive compliments from my friends, family and partner when I am wearing it. I do think it is a great fragrance for the younger generations of women to wear because it gives off a nice feminine finishing touch to any woman, but as I am moving more towards the higher end of my maturing adult self, I feel that I most likely will outgrow this particular perfume because it has a very powerful sensory effect similar to of Deja vu and it always makes me remember my own steps into the world of becoming an adult woman. The scent reminds me of my life before I had children or any real responsibilities. It is a wonderful feeling of being spontaneous and having the luxury of time to enjoy every possibility that I could have. I love wearing it because it makes me feel like I did when I was young enough to make mistakes but old enough to know what I wanted in life I use it only occasionally so I will spare myself from the fact that I have matured into a different age bracket and I will have to put this particular perfume in the back of my perfume tray and return to the more age appropriate fragrance that I found in my 30s. Its a great way of feeling like I did as a younger woman. For me, the smell is a sentimental gift that I use for my own personal enjoyment. This perfume is definitely a must have for spring and summer. Light and misty I have used it for sunbathing at the beach and while sitting by the pool, and it is perfect for outdoor activities and daytime gatherings. Its a very innocent and fun scent that is a perfect fit for young girls and women to have in their perfume collections. I have seen reviews for fragrances that are suggesting that the product you receive may not be authentic. Please read this comment carefully, I recently purchased a bottle of the other perfume I use most often and it was in a sealed plastic wrapped box but it had a faulty spray head. I reached out to ZeeBooth and was redirected to the actual manufacturer for the product (Givenchy) while they were sympathetic to my situation they could not provide any help because they were for in person and in store purchases only. My issue was resolved by ZeeBooth but please be confident that the products you are purchasing from ZeeBooth are directly from the manufacturer and distributor for that company. The product was sealed in the plastic wrap and in its original packaging. I have been buying fragrances on ZeeBooth that I used to have to get from department stores and never once have any of these purchases been anything but the real and identical product. No fakes or scams have been found by me in any of my beauty products. I do prefer to purchase from prime sellers and stores to avoid any kind of issues I have...
