A couple of weeks ago, I spent $40.00 to have my cat's front and back nails cut. Of course, it was easy for them: one held the cat, and one trimmed the nails. I have attempted this before, but with an uncooperative cat, it is out of the question for me to try it by myself. I will update the photos when the cat's nails need trimming again. PROS: The hammock feels secure with a safety strap. You would select the size depending on your animal's weight and anatomical limb spacing. Machine washable. Air dry. Comes with a comb, file, and nail clippers. Excellent videos and instructions are provided on the seller's page. CONS: It only came with one strap. I can make it work with one. No instructions were sent with the product.

I have a corgi and although we pay for her to get groomed we do it ourselves sometimes and the worst part of that is the nail clippings it is literally the dangerous part of the grooming for both my Lexy and us. If she moves we could hurt her and if not secure she can nip us. This set is just perfect!!! It comes with the holder , straps, clips, nail clippers, metal comb and nail file. So definitely value for the money. Now trimming her nails will be safer and easier. My Lexy weights 27 pounds and the harness fits her perfectly. Would recommend!

When I was getting ready to trim my little dog's nails I realized this hammock was missing a strap. I did sort of test it. I had my son mess with his nails and press on his paws while he was in the hammock and I held up the backend while the front end was held up with a strap he didn't even flinch. Usually he doesn't tolerate his feet being touched at all. In theory it would work, if only it had the second strap.

This is going to be so nice to hold my pup while I trim her nails, and her ears. Otherwise, she always tries to squirm away. It's a nice pattern and well made for comfort and it's adjustable around the waist. It comes with some grooming tools to get started. Both pups fit comfortably in it. I lifted them up in and they took to it well, plus a treat afterward always helps.

My sister and I recently adopted 2 dogs from the shelter. We have both had dogs all our lives and most of my sister's work career has been around pet stores, doggie daycare, dog walking, groomers; she's got experience around dog maintenance. Her dog is a small Chihuahua/MinPin/Poodle mix. She's a sweet dog but hyper and stubborn. If you try to cut or grind her nails she shrieks like a banshee being murdered and throws a bucking fit. Since she's a rescue, her nails were neglected before she was in the shelter and her black nails are difficult to cut because the quick gets closer to the tip and bleeds when you cut it. It's traumatic enough when trying to nip the tips off a squirming small dog screaming before you even touch her with the nipper but then there's blood especially when it's your own pet. When I saw this grooming hammock available as a free promotional item, I jumped on it. The first thing we noticed is there are no instructions and there is a strap missing. Before I started a return I checked the other reviews and most of them also had a missing strap; must be a production error. The sling is well made and the clippers are good quality. The file probably won't get used but we threw it in the pet drawer just in case. My sister used an over the door clothes rack to hang the sling on and due to extra tall doors, that missing strap was definitely needed. She made do with the seatbelt strap for the dog in the car. The dog was comfortable and didn't try to fight the sling. She did not try to do her nails as she figured carrying her around in the sling and giving her a bath was enough upset for one day. We'll see how it goes when she actually gets her nails cut.
