I believe this is as should be expected as I don't play instruments. My stepdad does and he LOVES guitars. Every year, he gets the same-o, same-o gift card to the local guitar center. He's not complaining, but nice to find a product he could use as well. No negative smells. I do wish it had come with some kind of cloth to make it more of a gift set, although that is not likely the intention. But he was happy!!!

As a classical guitarist (not by profession) of over 60 years, it's difficult to maintain my instruments in a desert environment (Tucson). I have found that a well sealed instrument via beeswax helps a lot. My instruments are very valuable (approaching 60K) so only the finest stuff I can find goes with them on on them. In the case of Danchet, I had just conditioned my most valuable Ukulele ($7,400n if you can believe it yet obviously custom made) the other day but went right back to her with this beeswax. This is a nice paste polish, which can be used on many wood surfaces; however, it doesn't feel like it is made entirely of beeswax. Solid beeswax is hard and waxy, while this is more of a balm, which softens quickly when it hits my skin. It likely contains at least one or more oil, which makes this softer and able to penetrate into wood. Originally I thought this might contain orange oil due to it's orange hue, but it has hardly any fragrance, so perhaps it's something else. This would be great for furniture or millwork. However, I would not use this for anything that might come into contact with food. According to the product description, "This wax is made entirely from natural beeswax, with no mystery ingredients. After all, the health of users is our top priority.... Although the product is made of food-safe beeswax with natural ingredients, it is not edible." It would be nice if this contained an ingredients list. Otherwise, this is a nice polish.

Decided to try this out on a jewelry box that I made a lifetime ago in junior high. In the 38 years I've had this, I don't think has ever really been cleaned or polished and it's been sitting on a shelf getting dusty. I only wiped off the excess dust before taking the "before" picture. The results were beautiful! I don't think I had ever put much of a sealant on it after staining back then, so the wood definitely soaked up quite a bit of this product but the results are lovely! The box looks just as good as it did the day I finished making it. I was so pleased with the results that I also used it on another jewelry box that had more of a finish on it, but had some nicks and few light stains that all but disappeared after applying this product. I should have taken before and after of that as well since the results were so impressive. I would highly recommend this product!
