You have to give your taste buds time to adjust to the flavor, then it's great!

When I first bought it, I was not impressed with the taste. Too many years of my taste buds ruined by sodium and my buds were saying "No Way"! It sat on my counter for a while. I knew I had to make the change, so after months of ignoring it, I just decided to stick with it. Now, it makes everything taste better and I can add as much as I want. Don't give up on the taste or lifestyle change, your heart will thank you.

Finally something "like" salt that gives you that same Unami/salty satisfaction.

After some unexpected heart issues, I was put on a low salt diet and the first week was okay, getting used to cooking a LOT more, with healthy ingredients. That part was fine, i don't mind healthy stuff, i just don't like blan flavors. But after that first week i realized how much salt is in everything around us and it was really hard to stay on my new low salt diet. I purchased multiple new spices, but none of them gave my tastebuds the same satisfaction as salt. Until i came across Table Tasty. The true mark of a good salt alternative is the French Fry test... If you can cook a batch of fries in the air fryer (Aldis crinke cut are the best) and season them with something that tastes semi normal - you're on to something :) This gives me an option that doesn't taste "salt free" I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything when i use it. Infact i use a lot more of this, than i ever used of salt - and it's healthy! It's good on sweetcorn, grilled veggies, mashed potatoes & more. It's expensive compared to other options, but nothing beats it.

Great salt substitute!

This is a great salt substitute with NO aftertaste! It tastes salty but no salt - maybe the blend with dill added? The only thing I'm trying in hopes that clumping doesn't occur- storing in a different container to use when cooking/mixing. We carry the individual containers with us - one in each vehicle so we always have it on hand - for travel & eating out.

What a find.....

I generally do not leave reviews. I felt I had to leave one for this stuff. I cannot have sodium, potassium or phosphorous. One thing I thought I would not be able to eat again was corn on the cob. I used lots of salted butter or margarine and extra salt on top. So delicious. But now I decided to try Benson's salt substitute with unsalted butter on the corn on the cob. It was delicious! Not only was it flavorful but it also had a bit of a salty taste too! Thank you Benson's! I can now eat my corn on the cob again!

Works for intended purpose if salt is not an option.

Product is a fine powder that tends to build up and become tacky, unlike salt, so it's important to keep the container closed when not in use. For the price however, the container is really cheap. The lid is hard to close due to tacky build up and broke almost immediately. Flavor is ok, not overwhelming like some salt substitutes. I suggest getting your own container for the product.
