I wasn't looking for quality sound just volume and a phone prop and thats what I got. Idk about ppl saying the grip is a bit too tight, mine is loose but its a stand and the phone wont fall so its good enough for me.

I really, really wanted to like this gadget and had such high hopes, but I found I had to really stretch to come up with "pros." Here's the lowdown: PROS: - Neat concept, easy to use - Nice compact design - The rubber backing is very grippy and your phone won't slide off CONS: - There is no easy way to open/lift the phone stand - it's pretty tight on there. I had to use my fingernail to pry it open - same with the little ledge the phone has to sit on. There must be an easier way other than expecting us to sacrifice nails. - As soon as I sat my S21 Ultra on the phone "seat," the whole unit fell backwards. - I don't like the charging cable up front. If you wanted to use it but needed to give it a charge, the cord is obtrusive. Why not put the charging port in the back? - Here's the biggie: the speaker quality is....well, it's sad. It reminds me of a radio I had when I was 12. In this day and age with Bluetooth speakers being a dime a dozen, there's no reason for subpar sound. This gadget had so much potential, but what makes it something that one should buy over any other BT speaker? Nothing. So it holds a phone - okay, but it doesn't charge it. That might be a clever feature to add. But, even with that, no one will want it if the speaker sound isn't great.

I use my phone a LOT for watching videos, for work and pleasure, and the stand I had was flimsy unstable plastic. This is a night-to-day difference for a number of reasons. 1) The stand itself is solid, steady, and durable. It won't fall over unless I drop it, weighing easily enough to support my phone's weight in whatever position I set it in. 2) Speaking of positions, there's a lot more flexibilty to how I position my phone with this stand, making it far more comfortable to watch videos on without worry or discomfort. 3) It's easy to set up and connect the bluetooth speaker to the phone. If you've connected your phone's bluetooth before, it's no different here: a) Go to your phone's settings, b) find bluetooth devices, c) tap "Pair new device", d) press the speaker's power button, and voila! Once it's paired, it's a matter of either auto-connecting when you turn both on, or manually selecting the stand (L37) on the bluetooth devices screen of your phone. 4) It's recommended in the manual that if you're needing more volume, you should set the phone to max volume before adjusting the speaker volume buttons on the stand. I found that the speaker offers plenty of volume to meet my needs, and has a nice full bassy sound vs the awful tinny sound you often get from small speakers. 5) You can use the charging cable as an auxilliary cable if you want to use the speaker with your computer. Just plug the usb into the usb port and the usb-c to the stand. High recommendation! PS. A quick reply to John Hoving's one-star complaint: This is advertised as a bluetooth speaker, not a charging device. Give your powers of observation one star for not knowing what you were ordering. Or just plug it into a wall while you're listening to music through the speaker if you need to.
