I got this to have one of this type of adapter for both the vehicles in our household and so far am pretty impressed. Setup and pairing was easy, the transmitter is strong enough to get the signal through as I drive around our (small) town with only minor static every now and then and it even has a decent filter on the power input: unlike the other unit I have it produces no electric beep/whine/hum in the background from revving the engine when plugged into my old 2000 nissan. I also managed to "accidentally test" the short circuit protection, and can confirm that it works: unit shut down immediately when the fault occurred and restarted in about 2 seconds once I removed the piece of metal with no issue. It does seem to be a bit too sensitive to such things though, as even bumping it in the socket causes it to protect itself and reboot, but I would take that any day over it frying itself. I did not test the direct music player functionality as I just play from my phone and currently do not have a spare flashdrive/memory to test with. The charging speeds do not live up to what is advertised though sadly: the usb c port gave me a maximum of 22w, and the usb a topped out at 10w. Probably will not return it since I use it with a 15w max wireless charger most of the time anyway, but a little disappointed that it will not work as well for the times when I do need to quickly charge my phone on the go. Overall as long as you do not live in an area where the airwaves are super crowded this is a nice cheap little upgrade to keep an older car at least somewhat up to date.

I have a Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager motorcycle that has a sound system. For those long road trips I like to play a mix of tunes I put together on a thumb drive or listen to FLAC music files from my cell phone to make the miles go by faster. When I installed this ingenious gadget in my wife's SUV, I had high hopes that it would bring her audio system and the way she handles calls into the 2020s. My hopes were a bit reduced after we began using it. Now, this is not to say that it didn't work. It did. She was able to make and receive calls, listen to audio (phone, music, and audiobooks) through her vehicle audio system via a Bluetooth connection with the radio that this gadget facilitated, and connect and charge her phone. However, the amount of volume was lacking even though; it just wasn't loud enough. With her phone volume all the way up, the volume on this unit all the way up, and the audio system in her SUV maxed out, the audio was barely loud enough for average music listening or calls. Her audio system is plenty loud when using it on its own; it must be a weak signal transmitted by the device. The only thing that helped is the EQ button boosted the signal enough to break through to average loudness, but added a TON of bass, which made the audio really muddy. To be clear, everything worked with this device but just wasn't loud enough in her vehicle. In your vehicle, you may get a different result. I take off one star for the weak signal in my wife's vehicle. UPDATE: May 1, 2024... I tried this on my vehicle and was able to turn up the volume more than enough for my needs. A small bit of hiss was noticed but not too much. So, your mileage will definitely vary.

Im so happy with this purchase!!! I have a 2011 Dodge Charger . That is my baby still , unfortunately the Bluetooth has went out in the charger. The dealership wants an arm and a leg to fix it. So I figured Id give this a try before I order the part and find someone that can do it. Best $21 I spent on here.
