Work very well and most importantly without annoying chimes when not connected! I have other receivers before but almost all of them make this annoying chime every hour if not connected to a phone. With this one I can leave it on and connect when needed.

I have a love/hate relationship with Bluetooth audio equipment. If I'm hooking up to audio I am usually trying to wind down and listen to music. I have had several Bluetooth speakers where the connection would be patchy. I spend several minutes troubleshooting and feeling frustrated because I could be listening to music if I just plugged my phone or computer. It's kind of like the lose the remote for the tv scenario where you could just go turn it instead of searching forever. Anyway, this device when paired connects fast and consistently. It doesn't make a loud 5 second tone when you turn it on waking up sleeping kids...another peeve of mine. I see the light I know it's on, I don't need loud audible confirmation I tried the RCA, Optical and Aux outs. They all work great and the cables come with the item. I stuck a jump drive with like 30GB+ music and couldn't tell if it was working and then it started playing the first song of the first band in the hierarchy on the drive. I clicked the arrow to the right and landed on the artist A Girl Called Eddy and left it right there because I love that woman's music. The knob does adjust the volume regardless of the output you choose. You can press it down to pause. I believe it communicated the pause to my phone and paused Spotify as well which is cool. It has a mute button. The only thing I haven't tried on it yet is taking a call. I probably wouldn't anyway because it doesn't have a mic. My only gripe is the USB A to C cable for power is really short. Like maybe 18 inches. I have to use a different, longer cable to have the receiver on my desk. Also you need to supply your own A/C plug if you don't have a different means of supplying power. Both those are negligible to me. This thing does what it's meant to do well and it's nice playing music through a quality stereo or recording monitors instead of a tiny speaker. I would order this item again, -M-

This is a very basic and easy to use bluetooth receiver. I've got it connected to my vintage stereo receiver and it sounds really good. It was easy to set up and I located it in my phones bluetooth devices immediately. It quickly reconnects when it's turned on. It comes with a few cables, all of which are a bit lackluster. The USB power cable is short. I needed to use another one that I had available to get it to reach a plug. The included RCA cables go to a 3.5mm jack instead of RCA like I needed. I guess if you're running it to a more modern device that might make some sense, but I would think most modern devices would already have bluetooth built in, but what do I know? I had a set of RCA cables I could use for this purpose, so not a really big issue. Overall, this is barebones and gets the job done and it sounds great, so I'm pleased. How long will this last, that is the real question. It's very small and very lightweight. Electronic devices like this tend to die quickly. I'll update the review if this one suffers such a fate.
