This works. It's a relatively inexpensive solution. It does change the texture of the clay a bit, but not a big deal. I wouldn't plan on letting clay dry and using it, but if/when you need it, it does work. I recommend it.

I'm a newb at working with air dry clay, so I didn't know to make sure you seal it up SUPER well. Or even when you're in the middle of a project, re-wrap any extra clay you're not using. This softener saved me! I was able to work it into the clay and let it sit overnight (in a double sealed container) and it was like new. The texture does feel a little bit different, but it's still easy to work with and it saved me from totally wasting the clay, def recommend!

This softener revived my aging air dry clay! As you can see from my photo, the dry, unusable clay on the left was transformed into a smooth malleable consistency making it ready to use. This one container saved me from throwing out over $30 of air dry clay, making it Worth Every Penny! Awesome!

This is really nice. I'm new to air dry clay and this is making working with it as a beginner really easy and nice. You simply apply it to your partially dry clay, let it soak in a little, then knead it sort of like bread. Its been working well.

Rehydrates air-dry clay that is still useable, not completely dried-out clay. Only works to bring back life into clay that is partially dried out due to being stored for long periods, not well wrapped, or has sat out for a little too long by accident. No more throwing away half-used dried clay- Frankenstein it! Add a little at a time, until it feels soft and pliable again, for best results let it work overnight after kneading place it into an air-tight container, knead again the next day and viola it should be hydrated enough to work with again. The softener does not change the color of the clay, but it might change the consistency some. That's what you get though for letting it sit too long before putting it away or storing it and not using it for so long... The better you seal your unused clay, the longer it will last- unless it's crumbly and dry and needs revived before it becomes a brick. Excellent product.
