I really liked the look, size and simplicity of this light. When it was functioning it was great and was just the right amount of light for my smaller tank. It was perfect for my 5 gallon tanks and my plants seemed to enjoy it and it didn't seem to be too bright for my beta. It doesn't have any brightness or timer control, but I use a smart plug anyway so this wasn't a issue, and I found the brightness to be just right for my tank (not too bright etc). However it has a pretty cheap build, and over time due to just normal use it destroyed itself. Biggest issue is with the transparent plastic covering the LEDs. Its not airtight in any way and is just snapped into place. if the light is near ish to the tank water, condensation will likely build up over time IN the light itself where electronic components are. This happened to mine and for the most part nothing happened but eventually it must have shorted something because one day some of the LEDS stopped working entirely which resulted it being ONLY red lights and dimmer. I don't think this is user error, because its for sold for fish tanks and is adjustable in height. I don't believe there was any warning to not use it with no lid tanks. Other lights I have (cheap and expensive) don't have this issue with condensation building up inside the light.

You will need to use the usb power brick that comes with it because the lights need 6v not 5v. The output of the usb power adapter is 6v. The light will be dim if you use a standard usb power supply.

I got this for one of my other small aquariums. It looks sturdy and well built but a bit more expensive than a very similar lamp that i got a few weeks ago. The flexible goose neck seems very sturdy and well built. The wide light beam lights up a 10 gallon tank very nicely!. The adjustable clip fits very nicely on my tank and should also fit most. The on off button is conveniently placed on the power cord. This lamp is doing well in one of my smaller tanks. In all fairness the CAREFREE brand is 5 bucks cheaper! Nice lamp nevertheless! Both brands don't get very hot after being on for hours which is a big deal if you need to have this on for 8 hours or so.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I recently built a nano eco tank with a few shrimp and live plants. Since its so small this light works perfectly for it. The light itself is well made and is adjustable so you can adjust how high or low you want it from the top of tank. It stays pretty cool after running for hours. I definitely recommend this for tiny tanks.
