Boye Plastic Carabiner Stitch Markers for Knitting and Crochet, Multcolor 20 Piece...

This brand and style of markers after great! I have been using them for years for my various crochet projects! From keeping track of starting points in circles and Granny squares, to marking off counts for blankets.

I find myself needing more flexible, wider-mouthed, larger locking stitch markers for crochet these days, to navigate into the yarn with precision. Since I tend to use locking stitch markers as split-ring markers (unlocked) when actively working anyway, these carabiner style stitch markers from Boye drew my eye. They arrived as shown, 20 markers in two pastel colors (blue and purple), in a plastic purple case with a loop (to add to your crochet tool keychain lol!). They are a good size (see photo for reference), and sturdy but flexible. They unlock with one hand, and they work well for me in both split ring and locking modes. My only criticism is that some of them have small jagged plastic fragments from the manufacturing process right at the lock, which can fray yarn, so I deducted one star because I think that could be easy to address. But overall good value, definitely recommend, and will buy again.

These carabiner stitch markers are my favorite. They are flexible, can be opened and closed with just one hand. They stay put even if not locked and are the best design for my crochet needs. I have big hands and the large size of these markers makes them easy to use. I have ordered this style more than once and always recommend them to other crafters.

I usually use the small round flexible Boye stitch markers when I crochet but thought I'd try these. These are firmer plastic and will be easier to insert into a stitch; they are shaped kind of like a thick safety pin and are easy to fasten. The sharper point does make it easier to split softer yarns, though. They are also a little larger than the round ones I use but I don't think that will be a problem. I like the quality of Boye products.

I use these when knitting and I need to keep removing and replacing the marker and they work pretty well. The mostly stay where theyre supposed to, though they are a bit clunky.
