My dog just uses this as a regular fetch ball and loves how it bounces all directions. He loves to chew on things and so far this has held up without any problems. We only used it for treats once and he almost missed them falling out because he was so distracted chasing it.

This reminds me of the very first similar toy invented for our pets. We have come so far from that first toy. They make all shapes and sizes now. I am happy to report, this toy is BPA-free, making this a healthier alternative for your pet. PROS: 1. LARGE size compared to similar options 2. Can use soft or hard treats 3. Keeps your pup busy 4. Rolls around easy and is easily attainable, depending on the size of your pup CONS: 1. Hard to wash out certain treats 2. Not peanut butter friendly (try wrapping something dry around the peanut butter) 3. Treats get stuck inside sometimes Overall, this is a lot of fun for your pup. I would suggest using mainly dry treats for easier washing. I wish they would have put another opening on the opposite side of the toy for easier cleaning. Maybe even a plug or plastic cork of some kind, that can be removed for cleaning purposes. Im guessing our pups would remove the plug but, there are ways around that.

My labs did start to break down the pufferfishs fins when they ran out of treats and started chewing on and playing with it like a normal toy, but most of the time its just rolled around on the floor to get the treats out. Lots of fun with this, and the material stands up well to my large pups!

I have a high energy cattle dog mix who eats all of her meals either with food toys or in a slow feeder bowl due to her need to use mental energy and her tendency to hork her food down so quickly she'll make herself sick. So we've used our fair share of different food toys / treat dispensers / etc. over her 6 + years with us. This one is her current favorite! She took to it right away, and while it does dispense food fairly quickly, the smallness of the hole does make her work for it. We put about 1/2 cup of dry kibble in this, and it takes her a solid 5 minutes to get it out by rolling it around the floor. About the same as any similar food toy. It did not take any convincing for her to interact with it, and she knew exactly how to get her food out. It is on the heavier side due to the material used, but so far our pup has kept to rolling it on the floor- it might get dangerous for ourselves and our house if she switches to flinging it in the air. My only reason for deducting a star is it is not dishwasher safe, making it a bit difficult to clean. Because it has such a small opening, it never feels like I've quite cleaned it out enough since you can't see or get in there to scrub it. Not a huge deal, but I'd be more comfortable with its cleanliness if that were different. Otherwise, our pup loves this and it is a great addition to our food toy collection!
