So i bought this to hear my games on xbox 360 since it fits in the controller i plug in the 2.5mm then i adapt it to my 3.5mm headphones but i dont hear anything but the other one works

Perfectly fits the data port on my Icom IC-2820H

As an electronics/ham geek, I build my own cables when possible. When trying to find something in my junk pile, that will plug into the data port on my Icom IC-2820H ham radio, I came up short. Everything I could find, had the plastic housing too big, to be able to fit into the tiny recessed hole it needs to plug into. I wasn't sure, but these Cable Matters adapter looked like it would fit, and I was right. They fit perfectly. Now I can build my cable around the more common 3.5mm plug, which I have a lot of, and then use this adapter cable to down to 2.5mm to fit the radio. The quality feels average; nothing special in that respect.

Good, solid connections. No sound drop-off

I needed about an extra foot of cable for my Koss Porta-Pro headset and couldn't find a 3.5 MM extension cable under 3 feet in length. By combining these two, I was able to create what I needed. The connections are solid and, even with two additional connections between my headset and source, there's no appreciable sound quality drop off. Works great!

Adapters for your headphones

I've occasionally encountered a headphone jack that's too small, and one of these adapters will work for that if you have a 3.5 mm headphone plug but a 2.5 mm jack to plug it into, or you have a 2.5 mm plug but a 3.5 mm jack. Most earphones and headphones today are of the 3.5 mm variety and most devices have a 3.5 mm jack to plug them into. When the two don't match up, one of these two adapters should work, unless your headphone is a 1/4" phono/headphone jack (but there are adapters for that, too). I tested these both in a back to back configuration to make sure all of the connectors worked properly and there were no open or shorted connections.
