This toothbrush sterilizer is nice for home or traveling with. I like how compact in size it is, making it easy to travel with. It uses a UV light to sterilize my toothbrush after I insert my toothbrush into the unit. The sterilization of my toothbrush lasts for three minutes after I close the lid. The light will turn off if you open the lid while it is on, and resume once it is closed again. The unit comes with a USB A to C charging cord and two adhesive metal discs. The metal discs can be attached to a smooth surface, and you can hang the toothbrush sterilizer on the disc from the magnet in the back of it. Its a pretty nifty item to have.

I've been watching for an individual toothbrush cover with UV sterilizer. Most have seemed too big. While the size of this is still a little large, it's not crazy big either. I wouldn't feel like it's taking up too much space to take with me on a trip. I really like that this has the one square edge, so you can stand it up on it's own if you wanted to. This fits my Sonic toothbrush well, both with and without the clear plastic cover that comes with the toothbrush head. Since I don't intend to store my toothbrush in this (sterilizer) between uses, I like the idea that I can also keep the regular cover sterilized too. No point in having a sterile toothbrush that you slip into a germy toothbrush cover! I also tried this with my daughter's Oral B toothbrush that she gets from her dentist. It's the kind that has the silicone gum stimulators along the sides. While that toothbrush fits in the UV cover, the brush head is wide enough that the cover doesn't close all the way like it does with my toothbrush. It probably still does the job, but I choose to lay it down and put something heavier on it to hold the "door" of the cover shut while it goes thru the three minute cycle. So if I was getting a UV cover specifically for that toothbrush, I would probably choose a larger one. However, I will likely be the only one that chooses to use the sterilizer on a regular basis, so it's not really an issue for me. I have no way of testing the effectiveness of this device. I hope it's working. At least I feel peace of mind by using it.

The Cahot UV-C Toothbrush Sanitizer is a reasonably priced UV sanitizing device for your toothbrush. You need to charge it with a USB-C charger (not included) before you mount it. A light below the USB-C connection will tell you when you need to charge the device again. Mounting is simple. Clean mounting surface (mirror usually) and peel the back off the 3-M metal plate and stick it to the surface. An extra plate is included. Then stick the sanitizer to the metal plate with the magnet made into the back of the sanitizer and you are done. You can remove it from the wall and travel with it if you like. Open the sanitizer and put your toothbrush into the silicone holders inside the sanitizer and close the door. It will sense the door closing and start running for three minutes. It is almost silent. I had to take it off the mirror and hold it up to my ear to hear it running and I could see the light through the slots on the side. This seems like a good device to try if you are concerned about germs and bacteria on your toothbrush.

Prior to this, I've used little plastic covers for the end of my toothbrush. I just assumed that was the best way to protect it and keep it clean between uses. Then, I stumbled upon this device. My only prior knowledge about UV rays and cleaning things has to do with a water bottle I tried with just a 30 second timer. I have been using this for about a week now and have already noticed a discernable difference. I have been using these travel toothbrushes that deteriorate rather quickly and can tell that this device is helping prolong them. I also noticed that the UV light was turning off before I'd finish brushing so I decided to time it. It does in fact run for exactly 3 minutes! It came with two adhesive magnets, and I've installed one of them at the corner of the shower and it's held up without issue. The charging port on the side isn't covered though, so I wouldn't put it too close to a water source. Definitely can recommend this product as it's improved my overall brushing experience.
