This is great for my camping needs. We do a lot of off grid camping so we most often have to pack in our gear. This set is nice and compact and stows easily. The utensils feel durable and decent quality. Unlike a cheaper set I tried in the past, these utensils are a lot stiffer and don't feel prone to bending. It separates and assembles easily. Only downside is it's a bit shorter than I'd want for eating a freeze dried meal in a pouch. But that can easily be overcome by cutting the bag shorter. Overall very happy with this utensil set and plan to get a lot of use out of it.

Typically I bring my lunch to work and over the last few years I've found I was going through a ton of plastic spoons, forks and knives. I got this to cut down on all that. What I like: Fantastic build quality, very sturdy Spoon and knife stay attached and fork can be removed. Need to cut a steak? Thankfully you can remove the fork and have the sturdiness of the base. Handles the dishwasher great. I open everything up, put it in the top rack and everything goes well. What I dont like: Fork doesn't come off easily and there are no instructions. First time I needed the knife I had no idea how to get to get it to retract. Typically there's a button you would press, couldn't find it. I handed this device to my boss, who raised 2 eagle scouts and was a camp leader for what I would guess was decades and he had no idea how to do it and had seen nothing like this device in his life. It was only by happenstance that the fork slid off and the button for the knife was exposed. Had I looked at all of the product images I might have figured this out. Removing the fork. Press your thumb against the base of the fork and push towards the teeth, should pop out. Or, at the other end of the fork there is a latch, line that up with the edge of your desk and press the whole unit down.

I had a set of silverware that were made of titanium. they were super light but the texture on them was off putting and I didn't really like using them. this is just straight up stainless steel. Not the lightest but far nicer to eat with.

This is a really nice, stainless steel, folding utensil kit. Right now I'm using this to eat my lunch at work. I love how compact it is, and I have everything I need, for eating any type of lunch, all in one place. If fits neatly in the front pocket of my lunchbox, and the storage holster keeps it clean. Prior to using this, I was using reusable plastic utensils and wrapping them in a paper towel. This is much better. I'll also be using this for picnics and camping this Spring. Some people have mentioned that this item is complicated to operate. It does not come with instructions, but you can refer to the product page for full instructions with pictures. Once you do use it a couple of times, it's easy. And, if you have ever used a folding knife with a locking blade, you'll have no problems using this. Here's some tips: To remove the fork for use, press down on the rounded metal tabs on the end of the fork, distal to the tines, and push forward. The fork will pop right off. Also, you must open the bottle opener to open the knife. The knife and spoon do not detach. Just fold open the one you need to use. The knife locks into place when open. To fold the knife away, press down on the metal cut-out on the frame just below the nut at the base of the knife. This will move the locking mechanism down so the knife can be folded. Some people have stated that the knife needs to be sharpened, or that it is not sharp. This is not quite accurate. The knife is serrated, and it is sharp. It does not need sharping. Be careful when washing the knife because it is sharper than it appears, and you can cut yourself. Ask me how I know. This item can be put through the dishwasher, but I don't recommend it. It tested it, and some rust appeared next to one of the nuts. Although the body and implements are stainless steel, the nuts that hold it together may not be. Dishwashing detergent is much more caustic than regular dish soap, and it may accelerate the oxidation process. For this reason, I recommend hand washing and thoroughly drying this before putting it in the holster. It just takes a minute, and it should make this item last longer. My husband is a lifelong camper and outdoors-man, and he loves this utensil kit. He said it is the best one he's seen. And, of course, after he saw mine, I had to order one for him as well. I know we are going to use the heck out of these. This is a great item to have in the glove box, in a bug-out bag, in your camping/hiking gear, in your camper or RV, in your luchbox, in an emergency kit, or anywhere you may need eating utensils. It is super compact, so it will fit just about anywhere you would need it. The holster has a belt loop so it can be attached to a belt or strap, or tied onto a piece of paracord and attached to a strap on your pack, so it doesn't get buried under larger items. This item would also make a great gift for anyone who likes camping, hiking, or picnicking. The retail price at the time of this review is only $13.99. This is a great price! This should last for years with proper care. I'm really glad I found this, and I give it my highest recommendation.
