Perhaps I should have paid a bit more attention to the DIMENSIONS of these bowls... Although they are indeeed very nicely mader, and have a good FEEL to them... they do seem a tad LARGE and even maybe a tad HIGH for typical cats. Granted, cats tend to have quite a range of motion in their necks, so it may not be a problem at all. But as for the SIZE of them... these are quite a bit larger in circumference than most cat bowls we use. Typically we'd use about a 4-5" bowl, max... and these come in at almost 8" wide! Still... we'll find out how well the cats like them over time. I will be interested to see how the "cat food cement" sticks to them, and if they're easier or harder to clean that others we use. So far, so good... cats haven't complained! ** UPDATE ** After a couple weeks using these bowls, we have found that the "Cat Food Cement" DOES NOT STICK to these bowls! Yay!!!!! That makes Cleanup SO MUCH EASIERI!!!!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! * * * * * I'm raising this up to a FULL FIVE STARS * * * * * EXCELLENT bowls, even if a tad large!

I liked these bowls when i first received them but the actual bowl piece is only about a 1/4 inch deep. Anyone w/a pet knows you put food in that bow and it's going over the siz - which is exactly what happened. I think dropping the bowl to even just one inch deep would help. They're also very light and easily slide around the food mat.

They are attractive and the right height for cats. Well made and sturdy. However, if the bowl you use is not 6" and strait (doesn't flare), it will not fit or will be unstable. For me, however, if I turned it over, I could fit my 6.5" flared dish perfectly and the rubber feet made it very stable. I would have given it 5 stars except for the part it would be unstable (slip off) if your bowl flared. But...I would recommend it based on the above exceptions.

If you are concerned with your pet's eating stance and want to elevate their bowls, this set of bowl stands is ideal. Such a better solution than a custom bowl set with stand as you can use your existing food bowls. They are a hard plastic that is easy to wipe off. As a bonus, the stands catch crumbs. Recommend!

I have some nice raised bowls, but two of my cats eat way too fast and need slow feeder bowls and the ones we have that work well for them are not raised and I havent seen any affordable raised ones I like. These stands work better than some others we have tried that just offer legs and not a sturdy platform. Theyre also good looking and easy to keep clean. Im happy to be able to take both my cats posture and his eating habit into consideration at the same time, so this was a good solution for us.
