Works great and stick nice to my couch! 10/10

I followed the directions for these anti scratch panels on my new IKEA sofa, and when I pulled them off, the adhesive removed part of the fabric, creating a flaw on the sofa. Would not recommend.

We just bought a new couch because our two cats had scratched up our last one pretty badly on each end and on the top of the back cushions in just one year! I put this very heavy duty clear plastic sheeting on each end of the couch to start out. I didnt know how it would stick to the top of the back couch cushions of this couch as they are much thinner so there is not much material to cover. You get in the package 8 nice large sheets. It too me two sheets on each end to cover the top 2/3rds of each of them. I did not have to cut them down at all but the plastic cuts very nicely. The cats do not like the feel of it at all! They put there claws into it to try and scratch like they had on the previous couch maybe 3 times then just left it alone. The plastic has a film that you peel off of one side then you just stick it to the couch. They also provide you with fabric pins/ tacks that you can reinforce the plastic on with but I just used the adhesive and they stuck very well for over a month now. One of our dogs beds is right at one end of the couch too and I like how the plastic sheets protect the couch from getting dirty from the dog laying up against it too. They give you so much of the protective plastic too, I ended up using a piece to patch over a hole in one of my Christmas inflatables and it was perfect to cover the hole that a mouse chewed in it. This stuff has many uses!

This works great to keep cats from scratching the sides/arms/backs of sofas. We had been draping blankets over our sofa to keep the cat away, but this is so much nicer. The plastic sheets are easy to use and cut to size. They stick pretty easily but also come with hardware to actually tack it onto the upholstery. I didn't want to put holes in the sofa, but did not need to because of the adhesive option. The cats seem to avoid the sofa now, so it seems to be working!

The adhesive faired well on my recliner, though I'm not sure how well it would do on a more 'silky' chair, like if you used a couch cover that was more silky. But I imagine it would work just fine regardless. Anyway, my mischevious cat has since learned she cannot scratch the couch anymore and that is lovely, no more scratch marks on my furniture is always nice. 10 outta 10 would recommend.
