I am trying a variety of Cat Steam Brush offerings and this is one of my favorites so far. The build quality is better than most and it's very cute with the little eyes on the loop. The packaging and presentation of this brush is the best I've seen, so it's great as a gift for those who value a good unboxing experience. My cat was afraid of the vapor and noise but as long as I turned it on while brushing he liked it. The steam helped collect his hair into a patty and the soft silicone brush tips were comfortable for him. The extra included brush head seems pointless, though. There aren't any bristles, just ridges. Maybe good for a super short haired dog. The main silicone brush was nice and did not bother my cat. I did find it didn't collect hair quite as well as others, leaving a lot more on the floor. This could also be to the sheer amount of steam and fur that it got off, though. This one has a USB-C charge port, which I prefer and is just really nice overall for the price.

This is beautifully packaged and could be used as a gift for anyone with long haired house pets. You do not need to open the box like you do most boxes, the section pushes out to remove contents. I really like that it comes with 2 heads and the "conditioner." Comes with the brush head already attached. I will be able to refill conditioner bottle with fabric softener using a funnel. Tried right out of the box and kitty likes the brush without any steam. Charged overnight and filled it up with water (not using conditioner). Started brushing kitty and then turned on spray. Kitty was OK with it - until I lifted the brush off and she heard the spray. Once I switched to the pulse spray and only had off fur while it wasn't spraying, kitty was happy. But this doesn't get 5 stars because the heads and power cord are difficult to put in and take off. That probably means the item will continue to hold the heads for months or years. But with no instructions on how to remove the head, I might break it in trying to get it off. Also of concern, the product name says both "Steam Brush" and "Water Brush." And the description mentions both "The cat comb with steam is..." and "This cat spray comb releases..." This implies separate functions - when really they are the same function. So another star off for misleading name/description.

I live with 4 dogs and 3 cats, with a variety of coat types. Needless to say, pet hair is a THING in my house, and I brush them all regularly. I have a variety of grooming tools, from the good ole' grooming rake, to the silicone brushes, to the standard slicker, to a fancy expensive "fur-destroyer" product. The "fur-destroyer" seems to be the most effective, but the dogs will only tolerate it for a few minutes. My cats for none. The silicone brush is the most well-tolerated, and it is effective, so it tends to be the one I use most. Look, I don't understand this thing, but it does seem to be the best brush I have. For the record, it isn't steam. It's not hot. It's more of a cool vapor. I can't feel the vapor at all, and it only makes a soft hissing noise. It doesn't make the fur feel wet, but it is damp enough that the fur you are brushing off doesn't go floating through the air. It clumps together on the brush, and it's easy to remove, so the whole process is tidy enough that I can actually do it inside. My tester cat (long-haired and elderly) did not care at all, and this brush is by far the most effective one I have for her - the other brushes don't remove much loose fur, but this one just takes it right off. She loved it. My basset hound appreciated it - she loves attention in any form, though. It was super effective at removing dead coat from her, so A++ My cattle-dog mix (who is generally skittish and shy) was apprehensive of the noise. He acclimated quickly though, and again, it removed so much fur with very little effort!! So why is it only 4.5 stars? Because I'm picky, I suppose. Right out of the package, I found it a little confusing. The buttons are not labeled, and the instructions weren't much help. It comes with two different brush heads, and I'm not sure when you would use one over the other. It's tricky to switch them out. They are held on/snap on with several small plastic posts. One of them either came broken or - more likely - was broken when my 5-year-old was playing with it. It did not light up green when it was done charging, and it will leak if you aren't careful with how you hold it and how you set it down. I was going to rate it low for that, but honestly, it's so effective that I just couldn't. In short - it's my new favorite brush!!

This brush is great! If you have tried the typical wire brushes and have found that they do not grab your pet's fur, but your pet still needs to be groomed, this may be the brush for you. My cat has very fine short hair. Wire brushes slip right through, yet during the war months she does shed a lot and coughs up more hairballs due to self-grooming. I needed a brush that would help decrease both the patches of hair she left behind on the furniture she laid on and the gross hairballs that our dog would sometimes find first and eat (yuck). This brush does just what I need. The silicone bristles grab the loose hair and builds up on the brush so that you can just peel it up in one layer. The flatter attachment works great for those spots on the furniture that her hair gets stuck on after brushing. The bonus is that she LOVES it. I have yet to try the steam function because we had another brush with that feature and she was scared of it. I will likely just use it for brushing her only.
