The definition of the scent profile is as follows: Sweet, dark, with an earthy, woody edge. It can come across very fresh and earthy. However this smells like The hot Tamales candy or maybe potpourri. This Patchouli oil is supposed to be top grade 100% and is on of the cheapest sold. Which is why I tested it out instead of buying the Rose absolute that I was looking into that cost $40. I wont be purchasing from this brand again.

Pros: Nice scent. Easy to use. Cons: I wish the container brought more. Other thoughts: Not much to say other than I am happy with the scent. I also use it with a diffuser without any issues.

This is a review of Nature Hue Ylang Ylang Essential Oil - 10 mL (1/3 oz) I didnt really know what ylang ylang smelled like, though I have known that it is in many perfumes. So now I now it is one of those smells my nose has always categorized as perfumey because I didnt know what to call it! Anyway, the scent is pleasant, floral but exotic (not floral-too-sweet). It works well in my diffuser. I plan to try mixing it with other scents, too, but for now I am enjoying ylang ylang by itself.

Jasmine oil is one of the costlier oils because it takes millions of jasmine blossoms to produce just 1 kilo of absolute oil. Each fresh blossom must be carefully harvested by hand so as not to bruise the flower, which can produce unpleasant aroma notes. Jasmine cannot be distilled because the high heat of the process destroys the delicate aroma of the flower. A natural solvent must be used, resulting in an extract known as an absolute. This method of absolute extraction captures pigment and waxes from the plant, resulting in an essence that is thick, dark orange and deeply intense - a little goes a long way. And, all traces of the solvent are removed leaving only the purest Jasmine flower absolute So there you have it - producing a bottle of jasmine essential oil is very labor intensive & requires a large quantity of unprocessed material. This bottle has one of those dropper inset stoppers to allow you to dispense your precious oil a single drop at a time. The oil itself is pretty viscous & highly concentrated so be sure to use VERY sparingly until you are sure just how strong a scent you want. It's a very intense scent.

I grew up in a household that used a lot of incense. (Please, do not judge my parents - they were a product of their time.) And I remember that one of their favorite incense sticks was scented with patchouli - it was the kind they most frequently used. It was a smell that I associated with my childhood. But then I left home, and incense was part of their world, not of mine. I got this essential oil on a whim - it made me think of the smells of my youth, and I wondered if I would still even recognize it. Of course I did - one drop on the back of my wrist, and my memories of my youth came flooding back. It is strange how strong a scent can be with memories attached. This is not only remembrance, but actually a nice scent. I have used it several times already in my diffuser, and can appreciate the smell once again. Will I ever use incense again? No, but this is a very acceptable way for that smell to reach and enfold me in its goodness. Patchouli is an acquired scent. It is not for everybody. Some like it, Some make fun of it, While others hate it. What you do is up to you.
