Super soft yarn, easy to work with

I bought this yarn to crochet my 16-year old son a plush toy from his favorite game. The yarn was pretty easy to work with, it glides nicely off the hook and is super soft. However, it unravels quite easily into the 3 strands, which makes threading through tapestry needles quite difficult. Also - I bought both green and black yarn to make this project. Working with the black yarn caused the dye to turn my fingers grey/black, and it also rubbed off onto the handle of my crochet hook.

Rather heavy yarn

I don't have much experience with chenille yarn, but this was surprisingly heavy yarn. I started a baby blanket with a textured stich but after a couple inches realized it was really heavy so pulled that out and used a much more open stitch. That helped but I intend to include a note noting it can be used as a weighted blanket or mat.

This Yarn is Horrible!

It's beautiful, but it bleeds on your hands while you work with it. It's also composed of 3 threads of thin chenille yarn that is twined together, and it starts untwining almost immediately upon cutting. The color bleeding (the black yarn turned my hands a licorice purple-black) is a HUGE problem! I got this for making doll hair for my crocheted doll, and the bleeding factor makes it so this doll is not appropriate for any child to actually play with and relegates it to a display-only doll, which is a really big deal, to me. Especially after putting 3 days of work into making the doll and adding special features, such as rice in the bottom to give her some weight, and hand-sewing the bends in her arms and legs, so she's able to sit nicer. All for nothing, all because of this yarn. I'm tempted to pull it all back out of her head and use a different yarn that doesn't bleed!
