These are comfy, fine point, and glide well over paper.

I received all 3 ballpoint pens undamaged. Each ballpoint has a little plastic nib that you have to remove to use the ink. Each pen has 4 colors. The ink writes very smoothly and colors are pretty. Some of the ink are a little more difficult to see such as the light green and light orange. There are only color tabs for 3 of the colors with the fourth color being part of the clip that you need to pull down. For the fourth ink wihtout a color tab, I add a color swatch on the clip so I could see which ink is in which pen (see attached photo). Overall, very nice pens and write fairly smoothly. I just wish the lighter colors were a tinge darker.

These pens are really fun and colorful! Its nice to have each pen have a different combination of four ink colorsits not just black blue red green like the classic clicker pens of our youth. Each pen has four colors but theyre all different! The pens write smoothly and with a very fine point. They are supposed to be 0.7 mm but compared to other pens of the same size, these write with thinner lines. Some of the colors were difficult to seelike the orange is very faint. But I love having the options of all the colors to choose from.

I was prepared to come here and complain that there are only 3 colors, but the listing makes such a big deal out of 4 that I went back and looked at these again. The clip itself works like one of the little levers and pops out the 4th color, which is (loosely interpreted) the main barrel color. These all write nicely and the ink colors are vivid. I'm a big fan of the 4-ink pen from childhood, so the nostalgia is strong with these. At $13 for 6 of them (at time of review), the price is pretty solid, too. If you need "regular" ink colors, they're not prominently featured here, but there is a red, a blue (well, several blues but one that's the blue you'd get in regular office pens), and a black. There's brown, green, purple, pink, yellow, etc., and more - far more "fun" colors than regular colors.

UPDATE: Im increasing the number of stars from three to four for these pens. I took one of the pens that had the colors green, red, purple and black to a convention and wrote with it off and on over the course of three days. I found that once the ink gets flowing they work very well. The scratchiness that I was originally experiencing seems to have gone away. I havent used the other two pens consistently yet to see if that will be the case with them, but I am assuming it will be. Now that I can get a smooth experience writing with this pen Im much happier with them. Keep in mind that its a fine point pen. Im now quite satisfied with these pens and find them both fun and useful to use for people of all ages. This set comes with three pens, four ink colors for each pen. As far as writing goes, some of the colors write smoothly and some are scratchy. A couple of the ink colors hardly show up on paper (yellow and orange), but some of the other colors look normal. The pens themselves have that cute kawaii look to them and would be a good gift for a child or young adult. But since not all of the colors of these pens are created equally, Im only partially satisfied with them.
