This case has a bit of a unique mechanism for preventing the top part of the case from falling off. While other cases use double-sided tape to try to keep the top shell on, this case just uses a physical bar to stop the top shell from moving when not in use. It does add an extra step when you are trying to get to your AirPods as you have to lift the bar up first, but it does do a good at stopping the lid from falling off. The actual case is made out of silicone which is a good all-around material to use for cases. It will protect against minor drops and will definitely prevent scratches on the case. There is also a little lanyard that you can use to hang it onto your keychain for extra security so that you never leave your AirPods behind. The cutouts align properly with the speakers and charging port. Overall, no major complaints with this case and it is worth it to protect your expensive AirPods. They also look decently cool depending on the color you get.

Everyone in my family has Airpods, so the only way we can tell them apart is by case. My old rubber case was getting worn, and it got a lot of dust inside the top lid, so it wasn't sticking well to the case. I didn't have a lot of requirements for a new case, just that it looked pretty good and seemed like it would protect the Airpods. This one looked good because I liked the style from the photos, and it seemed pretty sturdy. My initial impressions from the product pictures were correct. I like the style of it, and the case itself is quite rugged. The piece for the top of the case is a separate piece, but it is adhering pretty well to the case. (I was worried it was just going to slip off.) But what will ensure it stays on is the bar that you can rotate up to keep the case closed. I love this, because I often have the case in my pocket when working out in the yard and such, and I think my case would open up as I moved around, since I've found lots of dirt in it by the end of the day. With this case, the lid should stay securely closed. There is also an O-ring so you can attach the case to a backpack or something, which I appreciate, though I wish the string were a little longer. I don't know if it normally comes with this as it wasn't in the description, but I also received a little cleaning pen which is decent for cleaning out the inside of your Airpods case. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.

every time I drop my airpod case, at least one of them goes skittering off in a random direction. While I truly love my airpods, this pet peeve has been bothering me. Especially since it seems to happen for example at the grocery store, when a friend says hello and I'm trying to stop my music by taking a lone airpod out of my ear and putting it back in the case. Or at home one will inevitably slide under the middle of a piece of furniture. That is why I have been looking for a solution, and this case solves the problem. It fits well around the airpod case (this model is for airpods pro v2), and it does not interfere with any of the case functions such as charging. The body of the case is made from rubberized plastic (or artificial rubber?) and I like the texture. It's smooth but less slippery than the airpod charging case. But the most important feature is the little bar that flips up to hold the lid in place when closed. It fits tightly onto the top of the case, meaning it will hold the case closed if dropped. I also like that the bar is purple and kind of makes the case look like a little dude wearing headphones (from the front). I do not like bulky cases as the airpods are nice and small and fit well in a pocket. This case is a reasonable compromise in terms of adding just a little bit of thickness (maybe 1/8"). Also as I am writing this I'm realizing that another benefit is going to be keeping dirt out of the airpod case, which is a bit of an issue for the charging case by itself. I also like the lanyard, which comes pre-attached (these things are too small for my fingers usually). I think i am going to take the lanyard off the airpod case as it is redundant with my airpods in this outer case. Finally, the manufacturers include a nice little cleaning tool for your airpods. I like this product.
