I'm new to trying art, although my mom and 2 daughters are all commissioned artists, so this is the first sketch journal I've ever had. Therefore I don't have anything to compare it to, although my daughter fell in love with it when she saw it lol. Being new to art, I've had to do a lot of erasing and the paper has held up well. All I've used in it so far is graphite pencils and sharpie markers. I did not have any bleed-thru with the sharpies. I LOVE the bookmark built into it, and the whole journal is just plain pretty to look at! I can picture it being a heirloom that someone stashes in an attic to be found 100 years later lol. My daughter was so impressed with mine that she went home and ordered one for herself right away! I was kind of sad that she did, because after seeing how excited she got over mine, I was planning on ordering one for her, for her birthday. Now I have to figure something else out for her lol. Oh well, I can still get one for my mom and one for my other daughter lol. The price, the size, and the quality are all great! I obviously highly recommend lol.

Wished the pages was a bit thicker but its great. You can put light washes of ink and stuff on it and not have problems. Edit: I tried painting in it with acrylic with a paper in the back of the page and it went went.
