Comfortable but sizes run small

I'm a size 32 waist so thought the small would be a perfect fit according to the chart. Turns out I can hardly even get it to wrap around my waist without coming undone so the time! It's very comfortable otherwise. Expect to order a few inches larger than your size.

Works like a charm

Love the support and the Velcro closure. Its exactly what I expected but I should have gotten a size larger. It helped my back pain a lot.

Great at first

It seemed to work pretty well at the beginning, although not a as heavy duty as I wanted. The Velcro comes undone all the time. Kind of a bummer

Exactly what I needed

If you are on the larger side, this might not be for you. It is nice and sturdy. And also adjustable. Most that I've tried were a little wonky, even after adjusting. This kept nice and tight, without cutting off circulation. Even being active. I do wish it was on the larger side. Meaning, it had more coverage. I already have a short torso. It covered the width of my back, being on the thicker side. But the length-wise(vertically) it fell a bit short. Which, I already am, as well. Just be mindful of that.

Adequate support

I suffer from a lot of back pain when sitting. I try to stand as much as possible, but on days with lots of meetings I am often stuck in a chair all day. This brace worked well for me, giving me just a little extra support. I believe I also could have used an ice pack in it, though I didn't. I don't think this is strong enough to support heavy lifting, but it is great for daily sitting, standing, and light exercise. A friend who is a nurse told me that the "official" way to use the brace is to re-set all the velcro straps each time, and while that takes a little more time, it definitely makes a difference. I joined the main flaps together and was then able to get about an extra inch of tightness on each side by tugging the two side flaps towards the front. When I tried to put it back on with the side flaps already in place, I could not get it as tight and I did n;t get as much support. I typically wear trousers with a 38" waist and the L/XL fits me splendidly.
