Well made sturdy

This collar looks very similar to her prior collar - which was permanently damaged by a skunk (never got rid of smell). My dog loves jewelry and the color purple. In fact, except for this online purchase, she has chosen her own collar. I guess she is a diva and is very happy when people compliment her. We are very happy with this collar.
This is bulkier and thicker than I prefer for my cats, but 1 of my cats constantly breaks/takes off his cat "safety collars" so I had to resort to a traditional buckle system. Granted, there are even thinner collars than this one but I was looking for a "particular blue" and this was the only one that came "close". It's listed as a light blue, but it's kinda more of a sagey teal. I was hoping for a baby blue that matched my cat's eyes (see pics). Honestly, I haven't reached a final verdict yet - my concern being that the collar is so much heavier than a regular cat collar, I worry if it will damage the fur around his neck (you can see how it really burrows through a cat's finer fur) so I may reassess after a few months wear.
