Once I figured out the vinegar and peroxide washes, I got a nice Prussian blue.

I remember doing this when I was in highschool so I picked this kit up for my daughter to try out and she loved it. It comes with everything you need, just add sunlight basically. It takes a day or two to do the entire process, but the prints came out so amazing and look great on our wall now. I would suggest that the kids be a bit older, maybe 10 or so, with an adult around. Super fun and also educational.

I used this with my child's kindergarten art class. I painted the solution on wood, then the kids gathered leaves and flowers. I also used acrylic to lay on top to keep the wind from blowing away the plants. about 10-15 minutes in the sun and then a rinse in water and every kid had a great board. I also only used about 20% of the solution, so plenty left over for more projects

I've been interested in alternative and legacy printing for almost a decade, printing mostly during the colder months. I considered buying bulk chemicals but decided on this kit instead. I find it an easier method since, unlike other legacy chemistry, which requires measuring and mixing (expensive) small batches per print, the chemistry is stable and the cost is low. I gave it 5 starts for value even though bulk is cheaper for ease of use.

Worked really well and as expected. It was a bit of a learning curve since I have never done cyanotype before but the instructions are straight forward. I started with leaving my designs in the sun for about 20 minutes but I was not getting results that I wanted. Ended up leaving my designs in the sun for 1 hour+ to achieve the darker color.
