DenTek Mouth Guard for Nighttime Teeth Grinding, Professional-Fit Dental Guard, 1 Count...

I have been buying these intermittently for years at this point. I used to love them, I snap my teeth pretty forcibly at night and these are far more comfortable to me than the acrylic ones the Dentist gave me. They changed the way the guards are made and they fall apart so quickly now, its not even been three months and the bottom part of the guard is separating from the top and pinches my tongue, its frustrating becaue these should last at LEAST 3 months...I've had my most recent one for MAYBE 2 months

I was concerned it might be hard to make the right fit. Easy Peasy. I lost the one my dentist made 10 years ago. Dentist said I'd have to come in to get a new mold. Not only is it expensive they put a lot of stuff in your mouth that makes me feel like I am going to gag and you have to sit there with it in your mouth practically all the way to your tonsils. Why can't dentist do something simple like this product does. It is clearly explained and extremely easy to do. The product works as well as the one the dentist made.

I really liked this mouth guard, but it only lasted 3 months. It was very easy to fit using the boiling water method. It was more comfortable than others I've tried, as it has a lower profile. It didn't really have a taste or smell. UPDATE I tried 2 other mouth guards that were terrible! I bought this one again. THIS TIME when I was fitting it I sucked in as I bit down.....totally different outcome! This now fits more securely than any other that I've tried..... it comes up part way on my front teeth, which keeps it secure. I don't know if it will last longer than 3 months. Time will tell.

Followed the directions and this formed to my mouth easily. It is an affordable alternative to expensive night guards from your dentist. Read the cautions and stop using if you feel any pain. I found this comfortable to wear at night and as a side benefit from stopping my teeth grinding, it seems to help with snoring too. I've only used it a few weeks so I can't speak to durability but it sounds like you need to replace them eventually, which at this price is no hardship.

I have severe bruxism and never sleep without a mouth guard for fear of cracking a tooth. For years, I avoided the dentist and instead used OTC mouth guards like this one from Dentek. In retrospect this was a terrible idea, it ruined my bite and led to other dental problems (outlined below). I've tried many different brands of OTC mouth guard and depending on the quality, I could sometimes chew through one in a matter of days. This one by Dentek was the most durable and comes with a 6-month product protection guarantee. It never lasted quite that long, more like 3 months, before cracking near my back molars. This likely had less to do with the actual quality of the guard and more to do with my bite, which ironically (or maybe not) was ruined by wearing non-dental grade mouth guards for too long. AFAIK the size of this mouth guard is "one size fits all". For me, the length was too short, stopping just before my last set of molars. This caused my jaw placement to shift over time into more of an open bite where only my back molars touch. If my bite were even, I could see this product lasting the full 6 months or more. The fitting process is a bit tedious and fiddly. Read through the instructions once or twice before starting the process so you know what to expect or you risk having to start over. Overall, this is a durable mouthguard though the sizing may not be ideal. If the overall fit isn't near perfect, it could lead to serious dental problems in the future. I recommend this product over others in the same class, but advise against using an OTC mouthguard long term. Go to the dentist, don't wait!
