Good for lathers, but the rake brush is better for deshedding.

I got this brush at the same time I got Jelly Pet's Rake Deshedding Brush so I could compare how well they would work for my dog who isn't used to deshedding brushes. Fortunately, my dog doesn't seem to have any issue with me using either one on him. In terms of deshedding, my results with the rake brush were substantially better. However, that's not to dismiss this silicone-tipped brush. It also has its own merits. This dual-brush is good for working up a lather when bathing, and I find that this brush is better at attracting my dog's loose hair. Not like a magnet by any means, but it does help. So what I've been doing is brushing my dog with the rake version, and then following up with this rubber-tipped version as maintenance. I think that if your dog has a coat that requires serious deshedding (and often), the rake brush would be the better option. On the other hand, if your dog doesn't shed that much, I think this one would work just fine.

Dogs Don't Mind It, I Use It While Bathing Them

I use this while I'm bathing my dogs to get the shampoo closer to their skin. They don't mind it at all, and I like that the bristles aren't too tough so it shouldn't be uncomfortable to them. I hope! It's easy to hold, feels sturdy and I don't feel like it's going to fall apart. At least not anytime soon. I don't find anything super special about it though, but then again I have never looked for a brush like this for my dogs. Maybe it's a good price? I wouldn't know as it's an off item for me, but I like that my dogs seem to be perfectly fine with me using it on them! I haven't used it dry, so I can't speak on that. I keep it in the guest bathroom since that's where we bathe them. If I remember to, I will try on dry fur and update my review.

Great For Desheds

This brush is great for desheds. It's easy to use and comfortable to hold.

This is a good brush with a sturdy handle. I can tell my dog likes it and feels like I am giving her a massage because of the thicker "bristles". Because of the thickness, the brushes isn't really going to pull out shedding hair, but the silicon material of the brush makes it pick up the fur instead. You also have the option to use this brush wet which make sit even better at collecting shedding fur. Feels great to my dog and is easy for me.

Good for scrubbing short coats

This brush is sturdy and has no metal teeth because youre supposed to use it to brush during bath time and metal would rust. It worked great for us because our dogs have short coats; however, I dont know that it would scrub out deep enough if you have a long coat pet. I like it and recommend it for short coats.
