Design Works Crafts Christmas Fantasy Counted Cross Stitch Ornament Kit, Multi...

As others have mentioned these are beautiful, fanciful ornaments. But this is the third Design Works kit that I have worked on that was short of thread. Usually it is just one color but this time three of the colors were insufficient. It is so frustrating! I ended up substituting colors because I am tired of fighting with their customer service. Who ever is designing and making the ornaments in their kits does a very poor job of planning how much thread is needed or else they are so stingy with the thread supplies and dont care if we have enough. I will think twice before I purchase another Design Works kit.

I love the pattern, however, the packaging looked like it had been returned. There was no needle included in the kit. The piece of plastic canvas included is rough in places and I am worried about the floss snagging as I work on these. We will see what happens.

I love the concept of the Christmas ornaments. The color key is easy to follow. However there is only enough plastic canvas to complete 4 of the 6 ornaments. I feel a little short changed.

I purchased this kit because I loved the designs. Undortunately the kits arrived with some of the floss the wrong colors and some floss completely missing. Also, the floss was not labeled or sorted so you will need to do it yourself. I had to go to my sewing store and buy an additional packge of assorted floss colors to correct the missing and wrong colors sent in the kit. And the shame of it is the designs are spectacular! I can tell you that in the end I had to replace the purple, gold, dark blue, dark yellow,(not included), and 2 offf the 3 greens in order to make the design match the image on the package. I wouldn't reccoment this kit for beginners especially since it requires you to backstitch every element in the design, but if you are prepared for that and to sub in your own floss, the designs really are quite beautiful.
