Fun little brainteaser. Good to pull out when you've got a couple minutes you want to kill.

I gave this to my son with the intention of having him bring it to his gifted class at his school (they always ask for donations of brainteasers, puzzles, games, and the like) but decided to give it a test run myself first. My head is spinning, and I don't consider myself a total dummy...this is something with such convoluted instructions that I don't know that I have the brain capacity to memorize them, so I was constantly referring to them for gameplay. The concept seemed good and we're always on the hunt for a unique puzzle game...the verdict is still out as to if this is a viable choice.

Great game and case. Very relaxing logic game

I've never played the full version game of Dimension, but I really have been enjoying this modified single player version! I've always loved paper logic puzzles, and this scratches the same itch in a neat tactile way. The quality of the game is great. I've taken it on multiple trips with me since it's completely self-contained - the pieces, cards, and rule booklet all fit in the plastic box. I love the matte feel of the game pieces, and how colorful they are. They fit well into the grooves on top of the game box, making it easy to play wherever you are. It's easy to learn, with simple rules that are well explained in the rule book. I've handed it to other family members with no explanation and they were all easily able to pick it up. (And get sucked into playing multiple levels!) The game does a great job easing you in with the early puzzles, which are so easy you don't really even need to use the pieces to get the answer. But it quickly gets more challenging (and therefore more satisfying) without getting too hard too fast. The addition of new rule symbols shakes the game up as you level up. I love that this is a game that you can pick up and play for 5 minutes, or an hour, or however long you have. As some have mentioned, it can be a little frustrating that there are multiple solutions to the puzzles. The rule book acknowledges this, and it's inevitable in this type of puzzle game. In those cases, I just have someone else check my answer to make sure it fits the requirements. One very minor complaint - I wish that there was an included card that shows the meaning of all the symbols. The list is inside the rule book and I was opening to it so often that the booklet came apart. I think a sturdy card with just that information would go well with the nice quality of the game. If you enjoy logic puzzles but are looking for something different, or want an easy to learn/quick to play game to use your brain, I'd highly recommend this!

This game is VERY difficult to learn and makes no sense. When using the booklet to understand the different symbols the challenge cards use, it will say that one specific color can not touch one color. Then you go down and it will say it can not touch the only other color that is on the board to play. But when you look at the solutions in the back of the booklet that piece is touching a color the card said it isn't supposed to be touching. Makes NO SENSE! Save your money on this game. It is clear as mud!
