Disposable Wooden Spoons, 100 Piece, 6" Length Wooden Utensils Wooden Cutlery in Paper Box...

I admit, I'm too lazy to lug dishes upstairs and back when working from home. Sometimes if I want a yogurt or something during the day, I just use disposable utensils. But I didn't like throwing away plastic all the time so I found these and feel better about their use. I was a little concerned with them feeling flimsy or leaving little bits behind. But these are very durable, even when eating ice cream and firmer things like that. They don't feel fragile, but are inexpensive enough I don't feel bad throwing them away. And no splinters or little shards or whatever left behind. Way better than those little wooden spoons we used to get with ice creams back in the day (yep, probably dating myself a bit there). I actually am ordering these again right now!

They do have a pretty strong wood taste, which makes since because theyre obviously wooden and compostable. They work but I have had one of the prongs of a fork break while I was trying to stab a carrot. I also dont think the spoons are great because you cant really eat anything liquid-y without the utensils getting soggy and hard to use. The knives do work pretty well, and the forks generally work fine. I feel better using these than plastic (for the environment) so I will probably order again, but its definitely a huge downgrade from plastic utensils.

I ordered the set of 100 spoons. Mainly I wanted them to stir tea. I don't want to use so much plastic, and these wooden spoons are biodegradable. The spoons stir tea much quicker and better than the narrow wooden beverage stirring sticks. The disposable wooden spoons are also great for use with sticky, messy foods such as honey and pudding. They have non-food uses too, such as craft work where you need to stir a small can of paint.

Oh I love being green, and when I saw these wooden cutlery sets I had to try them. My Granddaughter is graduating college next month and I bought them for a picnic we are having. I also bought the plates and bowls. I want to keep the Earth clean so she and her children will be able to enjoy this planet. I have not used them yet, but they look sturdy enough for a picnic. The plates of the same fiber have a nice gloss on the tops and look like seepage won't be a problem. And THANK YOU for developing the plant fiber products. I know a lot of work must have went into their development of finding a way to use up an otherwise discarded after product.

Just hosted my first "plastic-free" birthday party for my son this past weekend and adored how these held up to both cold and hot food...and I make a very hearty I chili! I love that they could be added to my compost bin or the trash can, but either way at they will naturally decompose. They were great! Nice hearty amount, too...I have enough leftover for our next party!
