Dog Bathing Tether with Suction Cup for Pet Shower and Grooming...

My dog is thirty-five pounds, and like many dogs, loves filthy mud puddles but is somehow afraid of clean water. I tried training him to be okay with the bath of course, and different bathing methods, but nothing was really sticking - he would always jump out of the tub, and bath time would become a game neither of us liked, getting him in and out and back in ad nauseum. I would often give up after just the shampoo, because it took so much time and effort and my back would be acting up after so long. This suction cup is an absolute game-changer. Now I can get him shampooed, conditioned (he has dry, flaky skin when he's not conditioned), and properly toweled off in a quarter of the time. The suction cup was a little dusty when it arrived, and the suction was only okay, but once I gave it a quick wipe-down, it's hard for my bf or I to remove from the tub. This is excellent, given its purpose. The leash and hardware are sturdy, and easy for fingers to adjust, but not so easy that my dog can get out of it, and he's usually something of a Houdini. So relieved.

I gave this 4 stars because it doesnt stick to tile and most showers are tile. Works perfectly on a smooth shower wall.

I have a young husky retriever mix, just under two years old, and weighing in at about 70lbs. I use a shower stall to bathe him and it has a plastic liner in place. I jammed the suction cup into the wall quite hard, but boy did it hold strong. My pup tries to leave the shower the entire time I bathe him. Just a constant pressure. I used to have to have help to get a good bath for him. I leashed him to the suction cup and he gave his constant pressure but he wasn't able to move the tether at all. Today was the easiest bath I've ever given him. I wish I hadn't waited so long.

We usually take our 70lb dog to a place where you can bathe your own dog. But when our girl needed bi-weekly medicated baths to calm down an allergic reaction, we decided that doing it at home would be easier and cheaper. We bought this to try to keep her in the tub, and I admit that we were skeptical. But it worked great! She didn't pull on it very hard, so I'm not sure how it would work for dogs that do pull. But it kept her in place, making life easier.

Im a house call dog groomer, and I had lost my original suction cup with a tether, so I got this one because it seemed to have good reviews. I used it once, and it kept unsuctioning! I threw it away. It was such a waste of my money, time, and patience. And Im a patient person, I have to be to work with moving animals who have minds of their own! Lol. But this was just not up to the task of holding a 10lb mini poodle. Which is sad to be honest. And it doesnt even stay suctioned to the wall
