This is heavy duty an easy to use. The "teeth" are not sharp so there's no fear of hurting the dog if used correctly. With two Shih Tzu/Terrier mix dogs, keeping the mats and dead hair from their fur is time consuming. This is faster and easier than a comb and scissors.

This is an awesome brush/rake. It works well on all of our dogs. All of their coats are different, yeah gets out all the loose coat that would normally be blowing around in my house. The dogs dont seem to mind it and its a very effective grooming tool.

I gave this to my friend with a year old Golden doodle. She said this worked much better than a tool she paid a lot more for at the pet store. It did not seem to hurt her dog as she used it, either. I dont know if its right for small breeds-their hair would need to be very long. My friend says 4 stars :)

I used this on my labradoodle .. both sides are different .. one side is for defatting and the other side is untangling and a good brushing
