I use this for my Maine Coon cats, works well

We keep some grooming tools in a few strategic places in the house. You never know when a cat (we have three) will want a little TLC. The cats reacted well with this, and until I got to a mat, it worked well on their fur, got some look hairs out, and I'm happy to have found this product.

Great for detangling but dogs like to chew it

This brush is great for detangling long fur. The bristles have a little bit of motion to them which helps detangling but it feel a little insecure however rest assured they will not come out of place. The handle is a little thin which makes it a bit hard to hold. Because where you keep the brush it is made of wood and my dog likes to chew it!

Works better as a finishing brush

I am a dog groomer and I use this brush on double coated dogs, and on poodles. The brush is sturdy and easy to hold, but it gets stuck if there are any tangles and matting, so I still have to use my detangling tool to brush out the dogs properly. I recommend using this brush as a finishing brush instead. If you have a dog with a double coat, use the Furminator brush first, and then use this to remove any loose hair for a clean look.

Doesn't work

I was looking forward to using this comb on my dog. My dog has long hair with and undercoat and the item description says that it works through mats and tangles. My dog's hair is not matted or tangled because I brush him every day, so I thought this comb could be helpful to use to remove some of the undercoat. I don't know if it's because the teeth on the comb rotate, but the comb gets caught and tangled through my dog's hair and can't be used. I'll stick to my regular metal tooth comb instead.
