Smooth and less knots

I have a small white maltese. His name is Leo and he loves to get dirty and play outside. I shower him often, but he gets lose of knots in his hair. I was looking for a comb for him so I could use it brush his hair and also get rid of any knots. The one thing I like about this comb is the metal pins (plastic sometimes breaks of because of the strength of his hair). One side of the comb has pins that are close to each other while the other side has pins that are further apart - would definitely recommend the closer side for tighter knots. Leo's been looking great after getting this comb. If you're looking for something durable and affordable, this comb is something I'd recommend.

excellent for poodle

My favorite pup comb is starting to go. I've tried other pricey brands but none are as good - until I met this one. So pleased that this has the same kind of control and responsiveness as I work through poodle hair, which helps keep the pups happy as I keep them groomed. The comb is well constructed with sturdy tines which hold their shape and have a taper at the ends. Feels natural in my hand.

Pitbull Scratcher

Got this to use on my pitbull in case his hair gets a little matted/sticky again from our mango tree. Honestly, didn't think it would work great but needed some sort of comb that could be only for him. He actually really likes to be pet with it and it has helped us smooth out of his coat some despite him being a short hair. It was easy to clean after getting sticky mango all over it and it held up well to being chewed on for a short time before my dog figured out it wasn't a toy.

Durable dog comb for tangles and knots with stainless steel teeth

This dog comb for tangles and knots probably works best on dogs with rough, long, thick fur. My Aussie dog, which I recently rescued, had just shed his winter coat so I didn't find this comb helpful on his smoother shorter hair. In fact, I like combs with fine teeth tightly spaced for removing burrs and ticks on the surface, but the fine teeth on this comb are not spaced tightly enough to do that very effectively. I will store this comb until cold weather once again encourages the growth of a winter coat on my dog. Since the tool seems very durable, esp. having stainless steel teeth, there should be no concerns about leaving it outdoors. And, it should be a good help with tangles.
