Had this collar for about a year now or a little over and dog is maybe 65 pounds. He got out of the collar snapped or links came apartworked for the time being but if you do have a strong puller Id recommend solid chain links

Great collar, well made, easy to put on and take off. Stopped Athena (on the left, Zeus on the right) from pulling my shoulder out of it's socket when she saw a squirrel or rabbit !!!! highly recommend if you have a dog that likes to pull!

I have a Boxer puppy who although behaves well in the home and when it's just me, he gets excited when he sees other dogs and people and becomes hard to control without pulling me out of my shoes! He is only 55 lbs now and the harness just wasn't cutting it. This collar fits snug but not too tight, doesn't take much of a tug to immediately stop him from trying to run on-leash, has allowed me to train him to go "slow" which means stay next to me, and obey my "sit" and "stay" commands when other people and animals are in close view, even just 6 feet away! My dog did yelp once or twice when I first used it, but that's all it took for him to understand I'm in control and not him! It's adjustable, so it was too big when I purchased it, but the link system is easy enough to make it smaller and put the links back on as he grows. I recommend buying a size larger than the measurements suggested if your dog is growing since you can adjust the size. The lock mechanism has held up well. I think people report the lock snapping or breaking because they aren't placing the collar up and around the back of the ears properly, so they have to tug and push so hard it busts the plastic. The locking piece could be made a bit sturdier, but it has worked well when snapped on and during use. Please take the collar OFF when your dog is not ON leash, as when your dog lays down, the prongs will push into his neck.

My dog comes from abuse and serious neglect. She was NEVER leash trained and at age 4, she is a nightmare to walk. She is very powerful and pulls very hard. This collar is the only way I can control her and keep her from backing out of her regular collar and running away. Do NOT jerk back hard to get your dogs attention as the prongs are very effective and can be painful. Make sure you watch YOU TUBE to learn how to properly use. There are zero instructions with box. My hands are not powerful enough to pinch the link to take off and put on. I actually have to use pliers. If used properly, you can train your dog to walk with you. But, if she/he forgets, this is a reminder to reset during a walk. Thank you.
