My moms golden retriever loves it!!!

This toy is amazing!!! So far weve had it a month & my moms golden retriever hasnt destroyed it yet, & thats saying something, because shes SUPER hard on her toys!!! They usually dont last more than a few days!!! This toy has a rope running through a rubber bone so that you can play tug-a-war with your pup. Its very durable, as I said she hasnt destroyed it yet. Im pretty sure this will hold up to more aggressive breeds but please dont quote me on that! I had a female pitbull that was really hard on her toys & she wouldve loved this toy!!! Give it a try guys! What could it hurt? Im sure you wont be let down!

Disappointing. Low quality.

The rope lasted for about 30 seconds of tugging before pulling completely out from one good yank. My dog loves to play tug. Been trying to find a good rope toy that lasts because they are all made so poorly now. I have a Booda that I bought in 2005 that is still getting tugged by multiple dogs, and myself, everyday. Its hasnt quit after all this time. I bought a new, identical one couple weeks ago and it lasted a couple hours of playing before the knots were undone and the rope was torn in two. Bought this because it looks like it is a rope toy with two knots that are all fully protected by a durable rubber case. Thats not what this is. It is a straight piece of rope, with plastic tape wrapped around near the ends to prevent it from unraveling, pulled through the rubber piece. The rubber is fairly thing, not very durable and the rope was pulled clean out as I held the rubber and my dog pulled the rope. Just another stupid low quality toy.

Durable solution for dogs that like to shred their rope toys!

My dogs love rope tug of war toys, but they have a tendency to unravel and shred a lot of rope tug toys, which results in dangerous ingestion hazard strings being strewn about the yard. This toy offers a great solution to that. There's just enough rope on the ends to grab the dogs attention and offer a spot for other dogs or people to grab and tug on, but the knotted ends are encased within the durable rubber center so they can't be easily shredded. The rope itself feels reasonably high quality too, so I'm not concerned about the tassel ends getting pulled apart and ingested. The toy is a little on the small end for tug of war for large dogs, but it can still be done (as proven by my attached picture). It's also a perfect size for throwing for fetch/chase if your dog is so inclined. The oblong shape and rubber center make for some interesting, if subdued, bouncing behavior. The rubberized center is also surprisingly durable, and have some reinforced holes to allow the dogs to still feel the rope on their teeth as they chew. This has a dual benefit of helping keep their teeth clean. It's a great toy for nearly any sized dog that enjoys tug of war, rope toys, and/or playing fetch with non-ball shaped toys.

I have a pit and he is very destructive and this lasted a while. Now he did tear the stringy part out eventually and now just chew on the rubbery part his toys normally last a day but this lasted over a couple of months.
