This is a combination retainer holder for travel as well as soaking and drain tray. The material seems sturdy and of quality. All the parts of the case fit together nicely and it is well engineered in that regard. The insert for the water filter holder has holes in it so you can lift your retainer out without really coming into contact with whatever it was soaking in. My hope was that when I do quick cleans and rinse and brush it off and throw my retainer in the case that the holes in the bottom of the filter holder would allow it to drain sufficiently so it's not sitting all day long in that water that drains off of it afterwards. For the most part it does accomplish that but there is still some residual water at the bottom because the bottom of the drain tray is pretty much flush with the bottom of the soaking case and the holes are small. Maybe it's just me but that bugs me. The clear plastic is more aesthetically pleasing than if it were opaque, when looking at the case empty. However I'm not one to show off my retainer and so wishing it was translucent instead.

This 2 in 1 case is very convenient for holding my night guard while traveling. It's leakproof and translucent. The top part is easy to remove and put back in place since it attaches magnetically.

Smart design allows multi-purpose use! I bought this to house my night guard for air drying when not in use. The drain holes allow air to go through so that my night guard is dry before every use. The modularity of this item is great for traveling too since you can just grab the small container that is magnetically attached to the top.

I just wanted a case for my night guard :o) This is a VERY nice case. It took me way too long to figure out how to open it, too. I didn't realize there was a 2fer here. It's a 2 fer 1! The bottom case is much too big for me, but it is set up with a drain plate made with holes to allow a soak or as a drying rack outside the case. The top case is a simple clamshell pod to travel with your retainer, night guard, dentures. Both sides have tiny magnets to hold them together (top to bottom). I like the top because it's the perfect size, but there is no ventilation. If I wash the guard, I toss it in, but I can't close it because it will never dry. It is a little hard to open at times. I wish it had a spring-loaded button to push. I broke a nail trying to get it open. The bottom does not have ventilation either. This may be a normal thing, but I am new to the night guard and accessories. Pro-tip: the bottom lid looks like you pop it out, but it is a screw top. This thing had me in stitches as I couldn't figure it all out haha! This is a very useful container. Again, the only thing I don't like is a lack of air holes on the travel side. I would hate to wash it, put it in the case, and then close it because I packed to go. Please keep in mind my lack of experience with this container and similar ones.
